In the director’s office of Southlake Corporation, Willow was organizing documents. Her phone started ringing.
She paused to look at the screen. It was her cousin, Alicia.
Willow hesitated for a moment. They had never seen eye to eye with each other and had never really contacted each other. Could it be that she needed Willow’s help and was calling her now?
After giving it a thought, Willow answered the call.
“Yes?” Willow asked indifferently.
“Hey, Willow, I just wanted to give you a call,” Alicia said in a sweet tone.
This tone of hers gave Willow the goosebumps.
Alicia had never been this affectionate with her before.
“If you don’t have anything to say, I’m going to hang up,” Willow didn’t want to waste her
time on Alicia.
“No, don’t hang up yet. I feel like it’s been quite a while since we’ve gone out for a meal. Do you have time tonight? My treat.” Alicia jumped straight to the point when she thought that Willow was going to hang up the phone.

This confused Willow éven more. Why did Alicia want to buy her a meal all of a sudden?

“I understand. Just text me the location of the restaurant. I’ll finish up here and head over as soon as I can,” Willow said.
Even though Alicia had always been at odds with her, they were still family.
Considering how Alicia has taken the initiative to apologize, Willow felt that she should give
her a chance.
There were still many more years ahead of them. They couldn’t possibly let this go on forever and live as each other’s enemy.

She saw the address. It was the Silverstone Hotel.
Willow called Caspian and told him she wouldn’t be home for dinner.
