Was Byron about to formally propose at his birthday banquet?

While Byron was pouring out his feelings pa*sionately, Georgia turned around and saw that Cora’s face was already drenched
with tears.
Georgia suddenly felt that her previous worries seemed
unnecessary.
Byron and Cora loved each other so much, so how could it be possible for someone like Isidra to get in the way so casually?
