“Are you seriously bargaining with me right now?” Will frowned.
“You were the one who broke your promise, Dad! I’m already a young adult. Can you not make every decision for me? I am not your puppet.” Eileen argued with sheer frustration.
“So what!” Will slammed the spoon in his hand onto the table. “I raised you and this is how you treat me? Don’t forget who was the one who raised you! Don’t ask for a single cent from me if you dare!”
Eileen’s eyes trembled. “So, if I don’t stay here in this house, and not spend a single cent of yours, you won’t interfere in anything I do?”
“Oh, now you’re asking for it, aren’t you? Haven’t you learned your lesson last time? If you want to die, I will make it happen for you!” Will stood up, his belt from his trousers had already been pulled out.

Elsie attempted to stop him in a hurry: “What are you doing, Will? She’s just speaking in anger. I will persuade her, don’t worry.”

Eileen was still dressed in her pajamas and sandals. She did not have anything with her.
The whole dining area was immersed in a dreadful atmosphere.
Will sat down in his chair angrily. “Eat
your food!”
Sharon looked worriedly at Eileen’s silhouette who had already run away far from the door of the house.
Elsie put some food on Will’s plate and said: “Will, what are you thinking, fighting with your daughter so early in the morning? Eileen is still young, she doesn’t understand your good. intentions. She doesn’t have anything with her, where is she even going to go?”
“Eric, go and bring Eileen back! What if something happens to her…”

The meal ended up finishing in silence and unhappiness.
Vera sat in the pa*senger seat. Eric had put on her seatbelt for her.
“Eric, do we not need to look for Eileen? She could be in danger.”
Eric’s face was stoic. He turned the steering wheel with a blank face and stepped on the gas.
“The princess has been in her castle for way too long. She still hasn’t learned the ways of the real world yet. Don’t worry, I know her… She’ll be back.”
Did Eileen not play enough tricks of running away from her home before?

On the road leaving the Swan house, Eileen was nowhere to be found.
She must be hiding somewhere.
The next second, Vera pointed at a figure sitting in the front seat of a big Blake truck.
“Eric, look! It’s Eileen!”
Eric slowed down the car, right at the same time she spotted their car.
“Goodness, why did Eileen leave with a stranger? She’s not in danger, is she? Eric, do we need to call the police?”
Eric looked away from Eileen’s direction in a gloomy manner. “It’s none of our business.”
“Don’t we need to do something?”
Eric focused on the road ahead and remained silent.
The big Blake truck was driving fast, and left them in the dust before they knew it.
Vera felt the car pulling forward faster and faster. She wanted to tell Eric to slow down.
She felt that Eric was chasing after the truck, so she had to endure the speed.
The traffic light ahead of them turned red right when they were about to cross it.
Eric ran the red light and made a turn.
The truck was gone.
“Eric… We lost them. What do we do now?”
Vera looked at Eric anxiously, but she only saw the coldness in his eyes.

Eileen looked in the rearview mirror, they managed to shake Eric off.
She hoped that Eric would understand that when she said she wanted to run away before, she wasn’t just pulling his leg.
What happened with Vera, she had already learned her lesson.

The truck driver who was willing to give her a ride was a long-distance delivery man, and he was traveling with his wife.
They both seemed like warm and honest people.
Eileen had told them that she had a fall out with her father, and she wanted to look for her mother. So they let her tag along with them.
After a forty-minute ride, she arrived at an old building.
She said her goodbyes with the couple.
Relying on her memory, she walked down the dilapidated street. She could smell the foul stink coming from the drain beneath it.
Very quickly, she spotted a familiar sign, and stopped in front of a building.
There was no elevator here, so she had to climb to the sixth floor by the stairs.
On the way there, Eileen lost one of her sandals, so she walked with a limp. Her knees were still hurting.
She finally found the unit she was looking for.
She found a key under a flower pot on the balcony opposite the door.
“Who are you, little girl? Why haven’t I seen you before?” A lady in her forties walked out with a bucket of clothes in her hands
“My mother lives here. I’m looking for her Eileen replied

“I see, what a beautiful name. Have you eaten yet. Eileen? I’ve made some food, would you like to have some?”
Eileen: “It’s okay, thank you. I’m a bit tired, I want to rest for a bit, and wait for my mom to come home.”

Eileen walked into the unit. It was neatly organized, albeit a little shabby. There was no living room, just a single bed and a bathroom, and better yet, a small balcony.
