Chapter 42 Vera Was Beaten Up
In the infirmary….
“Fortunately, it was just a false alarm. It’s nothing serious except that you’re on your period. It’s nothing serious, but the injuries on your faces… The doctor in the infirmary glanced at the teacher on duty beside him.
The teacher on duty stood up and said, “Mr. Leon, you should go back first! I’ll take care of the two of them.”

Duncan glanced at his watch: “It’s almost eleven o’clock, go back and rest first, I will tell your homeroom teacher about what happened to you tomorrow.”

When they entered the dormitory, the lights were already turned off. Among the six occupants, a couple of people were still awake, studying under a small desk lamp.
“Why did you two come back this late?” one of them asked.
Snowie noticed Jasmine’s face and exclaimed, “Oh my, Jasmine, what happened to your face?”
Vera went to her locker and searched through her pajamas. To her dismay, she found that some of the skin care products Eric had bought for her were missing. These were the Lancome products he brought back from his business trip to France last time, and although they might not be very expensive for her, they held sentimental value.
She glanced at the missing items but chose not to say anything. Instead, she looked into the cabinet once more and noticed that her usual night dress was also gone.
“Jasmine, I forgot to tell you. When I came back to the dormitory today, it was dark, and I accidentally wore your night dress. Sorry about that,” Snowie explained. “And about the skin care products, Jamie and the others borrowed them, and they’ve been working really well. She hasn’t had any acne since then.”
