Eric held her tightly, wiping the moisture from the corner of her mouth. “I will explain in the future. But for now, let’s go home.”
“No, I need to find the ring,” Eileen said, flustered as she tried to get up.
This is my engagement ring. If I lose it like this, how am I going to explain it to Jasper?
