Chapter 276 You Have Feelings For Me
“Have you forgotten who you’re working for?” The man’s tone was icy.
A hint of hesitation appeared in Jasper’s eyes, yet he was still overwhelmed by the decision deep within his heart. He knew the consequences of his actions today, but he had no other choice.
“She will understand.” After saying that to Fabian, Jasper drove away from the company.
Fabian pursed his l*ps. “I only hope that you won’t regret this time! In truth, if Ms. Eileen had any other choice, perhaps… she wouldn’t have chosen this path of engagement with Mr. Smith. Her sole purpose was to escape her current situation. With her abilities, she got into the Hulbury Central Art Academy. The scene on the highway was a complete mess, with only the two silver sedans involved in the accident. The perpetrator had already disappeared.

In a mansion in the western suburbs, Nancy looked at the long-unseen living room, feeling as if a lifetime had pa*sed. This place held all their memories. Every corner of the mansion, from the cozy couch to the bustling kitchen, and the serene rooftop terrace, had been a silent witness to their shared intimacy. In those moments, their deepest desire had been to dissolve into each other, to become an inseparable entity.
Nancy sat quietly on the couch, waiting for his arrival. Indeed, she was all right. She had staged a car crash scene on purpose just to see what Jasper would be like if he thought she was dead. She had photos of Jasper going crazy for her at the scene and already knew the answer.
An hour and a half later, the mansion front door was opened. The pa*sword for the villa was her birthday. Look, he still remembers.

Jasper was about to turn around and leave when Nancy’s hysterical voice stopped him. “Why do you think I was released? It’s all because of you! Do you know how much I’ve suffered because you sent me to jail with just your words? They pinned me to the ground, slashed me with sharp knives across my b*dy and my arms, and called me a delusional and shameless person, a b*tch! They treated me like this just because I said we were once together. I was treated like a madman, and everyone was free to trample on me. I was severely beaten, teetering on the brink of survival. Had it not been for someone finding me when I was down to my
last breath and sending me straight to a mental hospital, what you’d be seeing now would have been my dead b*dy. What on earth have I done wrong, Jasper? Why are you treating me like this? Have you forgotten? In the past… you never allowed me to get hurt. Whenever I was bullied, you would always stand before me.”
Tears streamed down Nancy’s face, slipping off her chin. At this point, she felt no different from a madwoman. Her heart had already become twisted and irreparably broken long ago.
Jasper had no idea about all that Nancy had been through. He was at a loss for words, unable to utter a single sentence.
