Chapter 266 Someone Wants To Kill Me
Benjamin made a reservation at a seafood restaurant for the evening.
In the vicinity of the university, there were numerous late-night food stalls.
It was also the perfect season for enjoying beer and lobster.
Jason suggested, “Why don’t we sit at the entrance?”
Natalie replied, “Sure, I have no objections.”
Eileen nodded. “Either option is fine.”
She vividly remembered her first experience eating at a roadside booth. It happened during the previous year’s New Year’s Eve. Elm was the one who took her there. After trying it once, she ended up with an upset stomach that very night.
In order not to dampen their spirits, Eileen could only try to eat as little as possible.
A table for four was perfect.
It was evident that Benjamin and Jason had been there before. They headed to the food section. One of them picked up a plate, and between the four of them, they grabbed quite a few items.
Eileen didn’t take much, as she couldn’t eat too much.
The four of them also ordered four kilograms of lobster. When they sat back down, Jason brought over a box of beer. “You young ladies shouldn’t drink. I’ll drink with Benjamin.”
Eileen looked around at the environment. In the open space, dozens of tables were bustling with activity. “Do you come here often?” she asked..
Jason said, “Occasionally. Our friend here is quite introverted. If he’s not practicing the piano, he’s working part-time. Apart from school, he hardly interacts with anyone.”
When Benjamin arrived, he was carrying two cups of smoothie. He handed them to Natalie and Eileen. saying, “I bought these somewhere. Give them a try.”
Eileen said, “Thank you… Is this a smoothie? I’ve never had one before.”
Natalie, with a curious tone, said, “You’ve never had one? How come, Eileen? Smoothies are sold everywhere. You should try it. They’re really tasty. I drink several cups a day.”
“Here, let me open it for you.” Natalie handed her the smoothie she was accustomed to preparing
Eileen said, “Actually, I rarely go out, including to roadside booths. My father never lets me eat from them. I guess this is only the second time.”
Jason exclaimed, “Well, your life has been quite dull! Don’t worry. We’ll have plenty of opportunities in the future. But it all depends on whether your significant other will let you out. Right, Benny?”

Natalie raised her smoothie. “Eileen, I toast to you with this smoothie, congratulating you in advance for getting into art school. You’re going to be the greatest artist. As for me, I want to become the owner of hundreds of smoothie shops. I want everyone to taste the smoothies I make.”
Eileen raised her smoothie to clink with Natalie’s. “Here’s to your wish coming true, and to your success
soon.”
Benjamin raised his beer. “Let’s work hard together.”
Jason said, “The future is promising. Let’s all meet at Hulbury University.”
The four of them managed to finish all the skewers, but Eileen felt like she never wanted to eat them again.

Suddenly, Eileen thought of something and asked, “Benjamin… What’s your relationship with Charlie? Are you relatives?”

Eileen said, “Really? I was just guessing.”
Benjamin nodded. “His father and my father are first cousins. When the family moved years ago, my father chose not to go to Hulbury but to stay behind.”
“Why do you always seem indifferent when you meet each other normally?” Eileen asked.
Jason suddenly stood up and said, “You probably don’t know this! Actually, the three of us are currently living together. At home, we see each other all the time, and even at school, there’s no need for formal greetings. Besides, our family’s genius is so aloof that he barely speaks to anyone. Mrs. Raker asked Benjamin to tutor him, but it ended up being a disaster for our Benny. After tutoring for more than half a month, he’s still not as good as Elm, and he’s still in Cla*s Six. Natalie asked, “When will he be back?”

Natalie nodded. “All right.”
Benjamin’s car was conveniently parked at the school gate.
As they walked by, there were hardly any people left at the school gate.
Suddenly, a plea for help rang out from nearby, filled with panic. “Help! Save me!”
A man emerged from a patch of gra*s, dressed in tattered clothing, resembling a beggar. His b*dy was covered in blood, and he was dragging a broken leg that appeared to have just been shattered.
“Help me! Someone is trying to kill me!”
Natalie, startled, hid behind Eileen and stammered, “Wh-Why don’t you go to the police? Wh-Why are you coming to us?”
Eileen squinted her eyes, looking at the person in front of her, feeling a sense of familiarity. It seemed as though she had seen that person somewhere before.
The man repeatedly looked over his shoulder in a panic.
Brett Cannon had lost the use of one leg and was also very weak.
Within minutes, several black sedans pulled up in front of them. Several individuals stepped out of the cars, each wielding a knife, giving off a mafia-like aura.
One of them, with his face concealed by black cloth, approached. As he got closer, the scar on his eye became visible to the onlookers.
Suddenly, several familiar scenes flashed through Eileen’s mind, and she remembered something. He is the person Eric has been searching for all this time.
In her previous life, on a rainy night, she was sound asleep in the master bedroom upstairs.
Suddenly, around midnight, she was awakened by a piercing scream.
Therefore, she descended the stairs, quietly positioning herself at the entrance of the first-floor corridor She watched as Eric, filled with murderous intent, stepped on a person. In his hand, he held a needle. using it to sew the person’s mouth shut. The needle pierced through, causing blood to drip down the thread.
