Feeling displeased, Eric stared intently at Zachary, who had dropped a bombshell and then left.

Eileen was carrying a pancake she bought from a roadside stall and sipping on a cup of milk. As she was walking, a dog, seemingly appearing out of nowhere, ran up to her and barked. Startled, Eileen dropped her pancake and in her panic, even threw her milk away as she quickly ran into the school. The security guard saw this and promptly chased the dog away. After running a considerable distance, she looked back to see that the dog hadn’t followed her and finally breathed a sigh of relief.
When she was in her teens, a close shave with a mad mastiff at home left her with an indelible fear of dogs.
When Eric caught sight of her loss of composure, a rare smile broke out across the corners of his mouth. Even he didn’t realize he was smiling subconsciously.

This is the first time a friend had bought her breakfast.
