Chapter 168 A Bank Card
Eileen was in her room, secretly sketching. She had to do it covertly as her father
disapproved. She locked the door to ensure her privacy.
After half an hour of drawing, a sudden knock on the door startled Eileen. She quickly put away her sketchbook and went to answer it.
Seeing the person outside, Eileen asked coldly, “What do you want?”
Eric told her, “Come down for dinner.”
Eileen replied. “Got it, I’ll change my clothes and come down.”

gap. “What are you trying to do?” she asked.
“Won’t you invite me in?” he asked with a smirk.
“You’re crazy. It’s time for dinner. Why would you want to come in?”
Seeing his intense gaze. Eileen felt uneasy but reluctantly said, “Fine, do as you wish.”
Releasing her grip on the doorknob, she turned around and went to the wardrobe. Taking our her usual cashmere long skirt, she put it on along with leggings since the house was heated. It wouldn’t be too cold. She walked into the bathroom to change. She didn’t forget to tie her long hair into a bun with a ha
tie, letting a few strands fall around her ears.
Eric sat at his desk, tapping his leg rhythmically. There was a workbook on his lap, and he was fl*pping through it, page by page.
Seeing him so engrossed, she secretly rolled her eyes. She couldn’t understand what was so interesting about it, thinking he was just pretending.

“Thank you,” she said as she reached for the earrings, but instead of giving them to her, Eric helped her put them on.
She froze in place, not daring to move.
“What are you thinking about? You seem so engrossed.” Eric stood beside her, his tall figure shielding her from the glaring sunlight.
“It’s nothing.”
“The other one…”
Eileen hastily stood up. “No need, I can do it myself. I’ll go down first.”
“Eileen! Eric!” Vera’s voice echoed as she quickly appeared at the door. “Eric, you’re so slow! I’m already done. Let’s go
eat!”
Vera had never been to Eileen’s room before and curiously looked around. The room was spacious and luxurious.
“You guys go ahead. I’m almost ready. I just need to change my shoes.”
Eileen walked over to the shoe rack, slipping on a pair of flat Blake cashmere shoes. They were warm and could also be worn as sl*ppers.
Downstairs, Will had already sat on the couch in the hall. Several monetary gift envelopes were placed on the tea table.
Following their family tradition, on the first day of the New Year, Eileen had to greet Will in order.
Will did not have many rules when facing Eric, but he was strict with Eileen.

After she received Will’s monetary gift, Eric took out another envelope from his suit pocket. “This is for you.”
“No need. Father has already given me money. Eric, it’s not easy for you to make money,” Eileen said.
“I’ve given Vera hers.”
Eileen glanced at Vera.
Vera smiled and said, “Accept it. Eric is pretty generous!”

Eileen immediately responded to him: “Happy New Year.”

The sudden vibration startled Eileen.

“Did you just wake up?” His exhausted voice resonated through the phone.
Eileen replied, “No, my phone ran out of battery last night, and I just saw your message after turning it on. How about you? Haven’t you rested?”
Immediately after she asked that question, Fabian’s voice urged, “Mr. Smith, the flight tickets have been booked. We can depart now.”
