“After finishing the hangover remedy, shall we go watch the fireworks?”
A hint of a smile lifted the corners of Jasper’s l*ps. “All right.”
In the backyard of Undella Mansion, under a tree, two people sat on a swing, looking up at the fireworks blooming in the night sky.
“In the past, my favorite thing during the New Year was to sit here, swinging on the swing, watching these fireworks. During the New Year, I would think how great it would be if I could see them every night. It was always Sharon who accompanied me…”

Jasper smiled. “Do you still remember the song you sang?”
Eileen asked calmly, “What song?” She was unaware that at that time, Jasper was in Undella Mansion. She always thought that the house next door was uninhabited, with the curtains always drawn during the day and the lights off at night.
“Think about it!”
Eileen was deep in thought when suddenly, a light bulb went off in her head. She exclaimed, “Ah! I’ve got it! Is it a song about a door and a monster?”
“You still remember! I’ve almost forgotten about those times.”
That was the only thing her mother had left her, but when her father found out, he set her doll on fire.

Eileen looked up at the night sky. “Stop dwelling on the past. If it brings you pain, then just forget about it… The fact that you’re still doing well now is more than enough. After all, we come into this world, each with our own purpose for living. We can’t always live in the past,
can we?”
Jasper said, “You’re right, Eileen… Thank you. It was you who gave me a new hope in life.”
Eileen also made him understand the meaning of life.
She was like that beam of light, pulling Jasper back from the depths of hell.

He slowly approached. In the next moment, his hand covered Eileen’s eyes, plunging her vision into darkness. Between her l*ps, she felt a hint of warmth and coolness, soft and gentle.
Eileen regained consciousness, her eyes wide open, her mind a complete blank. She felt her l*ps being gently k*ssed.
