After putting a quilt on him, Cecelia untied his wrists, but the mant who was just set free wanted to grab her arm, “You damn woman!” “You’re so offensive to the one who helped clean your b*dy! You’re feeling better now, aren’t you?”
Cecelia dodged his a**ault swiftly and walked out of there with the basin, leaving him alone on the bed freaking out.
But then again, after she helped clean his b*dy and change him into clean garments, the sticky feeling and that stinking smell were gone. He was feeling much better.
Soon, Cecelia came back with another basin of water, a gla**, and a toothbrush, “Mr. Nelson, time to brush your teeth!”
“I’ll do it on my own!”
He propped himself up on the bed and brushed his teeth. Cecelia added, “You need to shave your face.
“I’ll do it!”
But Cecelia didn’t let him do it this time, and said, “You can’t see it. What if you cut yourself? Let me do it this time!”
Sitting still, with a serious look on his face, Remington didn’t resist but let her apply the shaving cream on his chin and shave his face.
The woman went on softly yet deftly and finished in a very short time.
Having wiped clean his face, Cecelia cupped it like it was a masterpiece and complimented him with satisfaction, “Great! Now you look like a human.
…” Remington took in a gasp.
Didn’t the woman know the art of speaking?
Did he not look like a human before?
Cecelia left the room for a shower and later came back with two servants.
“Right here!”
She had them place a berth and made the bed herself.

Hearing her busy with something, he asked, “What are you doing this time?”
“I had them place a bed here so I can sleep here tonight,” she explained.

“Who allowed you to sleep here? This is the main bedroom! Sleep in any other room!” ordered ‘he.
“It’ll be okay! I’m here to bring blessing to a dying person, and sleeping together will be more effective.” She didn’t think it was a big deal.
“You wish! We’re just a temporary and nominal couple! Don’t cross the line! You have ten seconds to get outta my room!”
She gave him a glance and then left the room, without saying anything.
When the sound of steps died down, Remington exhaled a long sigh. He would never let that woman stay in his room to annoy him.
But right a minute after he let the load off his heart, the woman’s steps came back.
Hearing her walking in, her footsteps approaching, and the door shut, he was furious, “Who the hell asked you back?”
“I went to pick Andres over here. He and I will sleep here tonight. It’s convenient for you to call me whenever you need help.‘
When a man can’t see, his other senses will be stronger. He could hear Cecelia stride into the room and put the kid in the tiny bed.
“Well, lie still, Andres. Mommy’s gonna read you a story.”
She found two illustrated storybooks and lay next to the son, ready to read the story.
But the son didn’t utter a word. Remington, with doubt, asked, “Is Andres really here?”
It was not the woman’s excuse, was it?
“Sure, he is. He’s by my side.” She said to Andres Nelson, “Your daddy doesn’t believe you’re here. Go help him out!”
Andres ran to his father on command and patted him on the forehead with his tiny palm.
It was him!
He believed it!
His son liked to pat him on the forehead when being playful. That was his own son!

Cecelia began to read stories, “Once upon a time, there was a huge forest…”
Her voice was sweet, tuneful like a creek trickling down to the softest spot of one’s heart.
From Andres‘ perspective, this was the first time he heard his mom read him a story, and he thought her voice was the prettiest melody in this world.
But to Remington, her voice was a siren call, a tender feather tickling his heart until he gave in.
Two stories later, Andres was asleep. Cecelia looked at the son’s cute face and couldn’t beat the desire to k*ss him.
Her phone received a message at this moment from her son Max, asking her when she would return. She replied with a voice message, “Baby, I’ll be back in two days. Yeah, I miss you, too. Good night, love you.”
Hearing her send a voice message to her baby, he shrugged his shoulders and wondered if this woman was sending a message to her fresh meat.

After the lights were turned off, Cecelia lay down and went to sleep. within several minutes. However, Remington wasn’t even drowsy at all.
He was sleepless!
