Everyone looked at Carlos, and Cynthia was surprised. “What does this have to do with Carlos?”
“Remington, what’s going on? Are you mistaken? How did it involve Carlos?” Gabriella asked, also confused.

Remington snorted. “Carlos, didn’t you just say that you didn’t know him? How come now you’re saying you’re from the same hometown?”
Carlos’s contradictory words raised suspicions among those present.

Remington presented two pieces of evidence, and Samuel asked Carlos in shock, “Carlos, you are an old butler of our Nelson family. Why would you want to kill Peter?”
Samuel then turned to Remington and asked, “Remington, Carlos has always been cautious and conscientious. Could it be that he has any hidden complaints?”
Remington stared at his father with cold eyes. “Of course, he has. Since you said Carlos has always been cautious and diligent, how could he have the courage to kill someone? So, someone is manipulating him from behind the scenes.”
Feeling uncomfortable under Remington’s gaze, Samuel turned his face and asked, “Carlos, you better fell the truth. Is someone manipulating you from behind the scenes?”
At this point, Carlos couldn’t make any more excuses and could only take full responsibility.
“No one is manipulating me. I just sought revenge by myself because I held a grudge against Peter after a previous unpleasant incident.”
Carlos’s explanation left everyone present feeling unable to understand or believe.
After all, Carlos had earned everyone’s respect with his behaviors and character in the Nelson family. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to serve as the family’s butler until now.
It was hard to believe that he retaliated against Peter because of some personal grudges.

Then he turned his head and added, “Carlos, you were afraid Peter would reveal your secret, so you bribed Edward to poison and kill him, right? So, it was you who killed Peter to silence him, and Renee, you cun ning and vicious woman! It was you who tried to murder me with the snack.”
After hearing Remington’s analysis, Cynthia stomped her feet and cursed, “Da’n it! Renee! What the hell are you trying to do? Do you want to kill my brother to help your children inherit the family property?”
Gabriella couldn’t believe it either. “Renee, is what Remington said true? Why did you do such a thing? How could you hurt my grandson?”
