Chapter 961 Picking Apples
It wasn’t until Kimberly carried the fish back to her residence that she realized
what a stupid thing she had done.
“I was excited just now. Let’s share the fish.”
Kimberly scratched her head and smiled shyly at others.
Kaila was tender and answered with a smile, “That’s great. We’ll enjoy the
fish.”
Others also echoed, making Kimberly, a little embarrassed at first, relaxed.
She nodded. “Let’s deal with these fish first.”
“Let me help you,” Neil and Max said in unison, looked at each other, and
smiled, “Let’s go together.”

Seeing they had already gone to help with the fish, Charlotte looked at the
children and said, “Why don’t we grill fish for lunch? How about going to
collect firewood with me?”
These children immediately cheered.
They all knew barbecue and thought it was interesting to collect firewood!

Charlotte also smiled, “I didn’t expect they did it quickly.”
After a while, these adults, who had dealt with the fish by the stream, came
over. They took out the seasonings they had prepared in their bags and
carefully marinated the fish.
“I just saw some wild apples and strawberries over there. Why don’t we go
and pick some?” Ottilie pointed somewhere, a place that Charlotte and Joe
had never been to before.
Charlotte hesitated for a moment. “Okay. Let’s not take children there this
time.”
They were unfamiliar with that place, so Charlotte feared accidents would
happen if they brought children there.
Ottilie readily agreed. The two emptied a bag and walked into the woods.
Walking through the dense woods, Charlotte noticed few signs of
development on the island and wondered how Jerome and the others found
such an uninhabited island.
“It’s right in front!”
Ottilie suddenly shouted excitedly and pointed to the front of the woods.
Following the direction of Ottilie pointing, Charlotte saw the apple tree. It was
high and filled with red apples. Although the apples were not good-looking,
each one was big and delicious at first glance.
The two looked at each other in confusion when they reached the apple tree.
Ottilie looked at Charlotte and said embarrassedly, “Can you climb the tree?”
Charlotte raised her head and looked at the high apple tree. She hesitated
momentarily and said, “I’ll have a try.”
Five minutes later, Charlotte managed to climb the apple tree and threw ripe
apples to Ottilie.
