Although Jack didn’t know who Derek was, he understood the words “gold
mine.”
“You… Are you saying… there’s a gold mine on this island?” Jack looked at
Charlotte in disbelief.
To buy an island casually and then discover it has a gold mine, that luck is

Charlotte shook her head, “It was just a rumor at the time, and no one

burning light.
Speculating and guessing won’t get them anywhere. What’s most important
was to find out what’s inside the cave.
The drone was no longer an option, and they were unlikely to sneak in
without alerting those people.
Everyone fell into deep thought.
“We should head back for now,” Charlotte furrowed her brow. These people
seem to have been here for quite a while, and they won’t leave anytime soon.
Sharon nodded. He was about to quietly retrieve the drone when they heard a
short exchange over the drone’s receiver.
“Will those people discover our activities here?” one man asked.
Another person replied, “What’s there to fear? As the boss said, after we’ve
taken everything inside and moved it all out in three days, we’ll just kill those
people.”
“It’s a pity… those women over there are quite tempting.”
“Don’t worry. We can enjoy them first before we kill them. The boss won’t
blame us.”
The drone silently flew away and didn’t capture any more of their
conversation. But even with just these two short sentences, the men present
were filled with murderous intent.
Fortunately, Charlotte and Mandy paid no attention to this. They managed to
persuade Joe and Sharon, among others.
“No need to act on impulse; there will be plenty of opportunities to deal with
them,” Charlotte said to Joe, holding his hand.
When they returned to the villa area, Erik and Gorya happened to come out
and noticed that the faces of Sharon and the others looked very unpleasant.

incident.

me, getting through this once means we have to remain vigilant for the next
time.”
