Martha.
“I’ll have someone investigate them secretly,” Sharon decided, “They’re
targeting you, and I won’t draw attention.”
Thinking about it, Joe was quite miserable.
His wife disappeared on their wedding day, his long-lost mother suddenly
returned, and now she might have ulterior motives.
Joe’s situation was extremely pessimistic.

Charlotte as soon as possible.

Before Sharon set off, Martha took the initiative to come to his door.
Her face was still pale, but with Hope’s support, she seemed much more
spirited.
The two of them knocked on Joe’s door, and a thought stirred in Joe’s heart.
“Since I’ve been back, the words you said have been constantly appearing in
my mind as if recalling some images,” Martha kindly looked at Joe, “Although I

my son.”
She looked at Joe and exclaimed, “I can’t believe how much you’ve grown up.”
For Martha, it was as if she had spent the past decades in a daze. It was only
now that she realized her son had grown up and was no longer the child she
remembered.
Martha became more emotional as she spoke, her eyes welling up with tears.
However, Joe, standing before her, showed no special emotion, causing her
tears to be stuck halfway, neither falling nor retreating.
Hope sensed her embarra*sment and gently supported her shoulder, “Don’t be
like this; it’s not good for Joe to see.”
Joe calmly looked at Martha and asked, “Do you remember what happened in
the car accident that year?”
Martha’s hands, reaching out to hug Joe, froze, and she didn’t know how to
answer the question.
She shook her head silently, “I only remember bits and pieces from the past. I
don’t remember what exactly happened that day.”
Joe was not surprised by this answer.
He lowered his eyes, concealing the emotion in his eyes, “Charlotte’s sudden
disappearance has hit me hard. I want to find her as soon as possible. I’m
sorry.”
Her previous reactions were now explained, and Martha felt somewhat relieved.
She held Joe’s hand; her hands were soft and delicate. Joe raised his eyebrows
slightly.
He remembered that Hope had told him that he had met Martha three years
after the car accident when she was working as a waitress. However, her hands
didn’t seem like those of someone who had suffered hardship.
“Don’t worry; she will be fine,” Martha rea*sured him, “Hope and I will help you
find her. We’ll find her soon.”
Hearing her say this, Joe’s tense emotions immediately relaxed.
He knew that Martha saying such words meant that Charlotte was very safe,
and they had no intention of harming her.
As if a hanging weight had finally fallen, Joe let out a sigh of relief.
