Chapter 751 Between Hope and Uncertainty
Even though he knew it was impossible, when that one in ten thousand chance
was presented before him, he couldn’t help but hope.
Martha stood behind Joe, listening to the conversation between them, and
frowned, “Are you talking about me?”
Joe pointed to Sun House behind him and asked Martha, “Do you remember
where it is?”
Martha slowly looked around and silently shook her head, “Sorry, I don’t
remember it.”
Joe wasn’t in a rush, and simply comforted Martha, “It’s alright; we can take our
time.”
Martha was a little nervous. Suddenly, she grabbed his hand and asked, “Can I
contact my husband?”
“You have a husband!” Joe looked at Martha in surprise, and Martha nodded
silently.
Joe pondered for a moment before agreeing.
After Martha contacted her husband, he arrived very quickly.
What surprised Joe was that Martha’s husband knew him.
“We met at a banquet in Albania a year ago.”
Martha’s husband was named Hope Jenkin, a gentle Dynastican man. His eyes
were always filled with love when he looked at Martha.
Joe showed Hope the paternity test between him and Martha and told him about
Martha’s past experiences.
Hope was very surprised.
“When I met her, she was working as a waitress in a restaurant and had already
lost her previous memories,” Hope explained to Joe, “I have also tried to find a
doctor to treat her, but there has been little progress.”
“Who would have thought that her family would be in far-off country?”
Perhaps because of the DNA evidence, Hope quickly believed Joe’s words and
told him how he met Martha.

No one knew how Martha survived the car accident, or how she was secretly
sent abroad.
All of this was like a huge mystery, hanging over Joe’s heart.
However, the current priority was to find Charlotte as soon as possible.
“Is your wife missing?” Martha looked at Joe with great curiosity.
Joe showed Martha a photo of Charlotte, and Martha nodded, “She’s really
beautiful; you’ll be sure to find her!”
Joe nodded solemnly, “I think so, too.”
He wanted Hope and Martha to stay here temporarily until he found Charlotte,
and then they could reunite as a family.
But both Hope and Martha rejected his proposal.
“Although you have DNA test results, she has been living abroad for more than
a decade. A sudden change of environment would be too difficult for her. We’d
better take it slowly.”
Hope gently said to Joe.
Joe looked at Martha next to him, “Do you think the same?”
Martha nodded, her face showing a trace of guilt, “I’m sorry, but I really can’t
remember you now.”
Joe did not insist. After leaving their contact information, he arranged for them to
be sent abroad.
After all, the most important thing for him right now was to find Charlotte.
Although Martha did not stay, her appearance somehow gave Joe some extra
confidence.
Even his mother survived under such circumstances; Charlotte would be fine.
With this thought, Joe continued to delve into the investigation.
