Chapter 585 The Reputedly Efficacious Temple
At Charlotte’s request, Joe naturally agreed.
Although this piece of land was developed by Joe, he had never been to the nearby mountains. For safety reasons, Joe
even consulted the general manager of the hot spring club, who informed them that there was a reputedly efficacious
temple on the nearby mountain, and apart from that, there was no apparent danger.

Joe looked at Charlotte against the light, and the golden sunlight seemed to give her a golden halo, making her appear
somewhat sanctified.
He stepped closer and held Charlotte’s hand. “When I was in school, I usually went skiing and surfing, rarely climbing
mountains like this.”
Charlotte smiled, undeterred. “Well, you missed out on a lot of fun.”
Joe pulled her closer and planted a k*ss on her l*ps. “That’s why I want you to show me these pleasures now.”

Suddenly, Charlotte hooked her arm around his neck and k*ssed him on the l*ps. “Well, you’ll have to pay the tour guide
fee for that.”

Charlotte didn’t dare to tease this man for the rest of the journey anymore. She obediently let him lead the way as they
climbed to the mountaintop.

Through the curtain of rain, Charlotte spotted a structure with green tiles and red walls not far away and quickly called out
to Joe.
They hurriedly ran toward it.
The gate of the small courtyard wasn’t tightly closed. Charlotte had barely touched it when it was pushed open. She
glanced at Joe, who nodded, and then she opened the door and rushed inside.
Rather than barging in, the two stood under the eaves and observed the courtyard’s layout.
The first thing that caught their eyes was a simple and clean courtyard. In front of them stood a solemn and unadorned
main hall, with a faint scent of incense lingering in the air.
Charlotte was somewhat surprised. Could this be the legendary temple they were looking for?
