The next morning, Sandra, filled with anger, intercepted Joe in the parking lot.
Her eyes were dark and bruised, indicating a lack of sleep. Her once smooth and fair forehead was covered in large
patches of bruises from the impact. The traces were still visible, even with the foundation trying to conceal them.
Sandra, with her high heels clicking, glared at Joe in frustration. “Was it you who did it yesterday? Killing someone in
broad daylight, have you gone mad? Just for Charlotte?”
The strong scent of perfume made Joe furrow his brows. He slightly lifted his eyes, his expression indifferent. “Do you
have any evidence?”
Usually, she was the one making others uncomfortable. This was the first time someone had left Sandra speechless!
She took a deep breath and said in a low voice, “We both know what happened yesterday. Although I may not be a direct
descendant of the Faulkner Family, I am not an insignificant presence either. Aren’t you afraid of going against the
Faulkner Family?”
