Chapter 569 Being “Forced” to Participate in It
Initially, Charlotte hadn’t intended to get involved with the Faulkner Family. Her plan was simply to lay her parents to rest
together, providing them some solace.
But now, she realized that she was wrong.
Ever since the moment Sonsini uncovered her background, she had been unavoidably entangled in the complexities of
the Faulkner Family. Even if she had no intention of vying for the so-called Faulkner Family’s inheritance, those from the
collateral branches wouldn’t believe it and were resolute in seeing her as a thorn in their side.

She stopped one of them and inquired, “Didn’t the hotel here collapse? What are you all doing?”
The worker gave her a puzzled glance and explained, “This piece of land has been sold. They seem to be planning to
build some club or something.”

Since the site had already been disturbed, Charlotte had no intention of lingering any further. She got into the car and
prepared to leave.
Just as her vehicle was departing, a red Ferrari supercar pa*sed by her closely. A beautiful woman in a red dress made
eye contact with Charlotte. The woman raised an eyebrow at her and then flashed a bold smile.

again, the other car had vanished completely.
Thinking it might have been her imagination, Charlotte didn’t dwell on it.
Back at the villa, Charlotte plunged into her study and began sketching blueprints. She was so engrossed that she didn’t
notice Joe silently entering the room.
It wasn’t until Joe approached her that she snapped out of her focus.
Seeing the rough outline of the blueprint on the table, even if Joe wasn’t versed in architecture, he couldn’t help but
exclaim, “It’s beautiful.”
He examined it carefully and was somewhat surprised. “This seems different from your previous style.”
Now, it was Charlotte’s turn to be astonished. She looked at Joe in amazement. “You know my style?”
Joe lowered his gaze to her and suddenly reached to pinch her cheek.
“What are you doing?” Charlotte exclaimed in shock, covering her face. She could hardly believe that Joe would make
such a gesture.
Joe glanced at his own fingers.
Just before he had entered, he happened to see Anna pinching Ben’s cheek. Now, faced with Charlotte earnestly asking
him this question, he impulsively extended his hand.
Well, it had a nice feel to it.
Seeing that he didn’t speak for a long time, Charlotte waved her hand in front of his eyes. Joe took the opportunity to pull
her up and put her on the desk.
“Have you forgotten? In the beginning, you publicly acknowledged your identity as Moontide. To understand better what
you’ve been up to these years, I went through every piece of your work I could find.”
Joe held Charlotte around the waist, his eyes as profound as a vast galaxy, gazing deeply into her eyes, causing her heart
to tremble.
