“Planting trees?” Charlotte grew even more curious and decided to walk down wearing her coat.
Joe held a shovel, his shirt sleeves rolled up to his elbows, revealing the smooth muscle lines of his forearms. In front of
him were two large pits, and standing beside him were Ben and Anna, each holding a small shovel and their faces
smeared with dirt.
Charlotte gently wiped the dirt off the faces of the two children and asked softly, “What kind of trees are you planting?”
Anna raised her hand and jumped forward, “I know! Daddy said these are two cherry trees. They’ll grow up with us, and
then we can eat delicious cherries!”
Charlotte was quite surprised that Joe had brought the two children to plant trees, but seeing their joyful expressions
made her smile even more.
Joe walked over to stand beside Charlotte, giving her a gentle k*ss on the l*ps.
