Chapter 50 The Kind Ben
Mia paused and subconsciously clenched the wet towel in her hand.
She and Ben looked at each other. Looking at his clear eyes, she didn’t want to lie. “Yes.”
Mia admitted with difficulty and thought that the children would blame her for being selfish and take away their right to see their biological father for her own desires, but they didn’t.
Ben just put her soft little hand on Mia’s face and said, “Mom, you were not happy to see that person. I will find a perfect husband for you and won’t let you be sad again.”
Mia froze on the spot and had never expected that Ben would say such a thing to her.
“Don’t you blame me?” She thought for a moment and asked, “Maybe you could have met him.”
Ben shook his head without hesitation. “I don’t want to see him.”
At this moment, Mia didn’t know how to describe her feelings, could only look at Ben with complicated emotions, and touch his head.
Anna strolled over while eating the jelly. “What are you doing? Why do you look unhappy? Is it because Ben is too dirty?”

Mia burst into laughter and k*ssed Anna and Ben on their faces. “You are the best gifts from God.”
When Joe arrived at the door of the hospital ward, Wendy took the initiative to greet him. “Joe!”
Her face was ruddy and full of smiles. There was no trace of the pity and misery she just had on the phone.
Joe slowly darkened his face. “Is this what you meant by feeling unwell?”
Wendy’s smile froze. She tried to hold on to Joe again, but he dodged.
“I’m just…” Wendy looked at him with red-rimmed eyes.” “You haven’t come to see me for the past few days. I’m scared of living alone in the hospital…”
She lowered her head weakly and said in a choked voice.
Seeing Wendy like this, Joe knew that he should say something to comfort her, but now he didn’t want to say a word.
Wendy seemed to have realized that Joe was really angry and quickly wrapped her arms around his waist. “I’m sorry, I just miss you so much. Not only me but also the baby in my belly…”
The usual effective methods were useless this time.
Joe only gave her a meaningful look. “If you’re bored, I can
invite someone to chat with you.”
Wendy froze on the spot.
She had been thinking about how to appease Joe, but what he said next sent a chill down her spine.
“Eight years ago, you received a call from Mia on John’s birthday. She clearly told you that she was seriously injured, but you told me that it was just a minor injury to her. Do you remember?”.
Wendy staggered and almost fell to the ground. Fortunately, Joe caught her in time.
Wendy looked at him in shock. “Is that so? I don’t seem to remember at all.”
Looking at Wendy, who was acting dumb, Joe did not say anything. His eyes fell on her lower abdomen.
