Joe pretended not to notice her gaze and took her all the way back to his room.
Wesley was a little stunned. “Mr. Smith…?”
“Wait a minute.” Joe motioned for her to sit on the sofa while he dialed a number to talk to the other party in H country’s
language. Not long after, a person who looked like a doctor came to visit.
When he saw Wesley’s wound, the other party frowned and said, “This wound is a little deep. You may need stitches.”
Wesley turned pale. She glanced at him, bit her l*p, and said, “It doesn’t matter. I can bear it.”
The doctor took out an anesthetic with a strange expression and injected it into her finger.
Wesley was speechless.

Unlike the gentle boss earlier, Joe was exuding a cold aura. He stood tall and straight by the window with a sneer on his
face. “She’s quite ruthless.”
Before leaving, the doctor specifically told him that the injury caused by the accident would not be so deep and asked him
to pay attention to whether someone had deliberately framed Wesley. How could he have thought that it was Wesley
herself?
He thought for a moment and asked Jack, “Charlotte… how did she react?”
