Chapter 31 I Was Serious
When it came to divorce, Joe looked gloomy.
“Stop talking about it, Mia.” He put one hand in his pocket and stood still, with only certainty in his eyes. “I don’t believe that you will really marry David.”
Mia loved him so much in the past. How could she fall in love with David so soon and even marry him?
Mia gradually stopped smiling and looked straight at Joe with her dark eyes. “It’s been five years. Why do you think I’m stupid enough to love you who don’t care about me at all? Mr. Smith, Your conceit also requires a limit.”
Joe walked up to Mia step by step with a gloomy face and reached out to pinch her chin. “Mia, Limit? Will David give you 200 million dollars in three years?”
The sarcasm in his eyes hurt Mia. She calmly pushed away his fingers one by one and did not retreat at all. “Joe, I don’t owe you anything.”

Mia didn’t say anything more, picked up the document on the table, and walked out quickly.

Joe took out a cigarette, lit it, and then called Jack.
Back at the apartment, Mia found that David came, sitting in the living room with a gloomy face and cigarette butts all over the floor.
Mia raised her eyebrows. Since David knew that she didn’t like the smell of cigarettes, he had never smoked in front of her.

Before she could finish her words, David reached out and hugged her.
Mia stiffened and hesitated for a long time but still couldn’t push him away.

Mia noticed that the apartment was particularly quiet, so she looked at David and asked, “Where are Ben and Anna?”
