“Do you mean that I copied your work and then came up with a proposal even
better than yours?”
Before Janet could refute it, Lena continued, “Unfortunately, I made a mistake
in one of the data while working on this proposal, which led to several
consecutive errors later on.”
Lena went into great detail, outlining every mistake and explaining the
reasons behind them.

brought the proposal today and said she was willing to let me present it. I had
no idea it was Lena’s proposal!”
Debra was stunned because she never expected Janet to throw her under
the bus at this moment. She looked at Janet in shock.
“It was you!” Debra, with a hint of a sob, pointed at Janet. However, before
she could say more, the president interrupted.
“Enough! Sort out your issues later. We’ll proceed with Lena’s proposal for
this project. Meeting adjourned!” The president angrily pointed at Janet and
Debra, then shot a fierce glance at the human resources director before
leaving the room hastily.
The human resources director, also caught off guard by the turn of events,
angrily scolded Janet and Debra, wishing they could both disappear.
Lena, having no intention of despising them, confirmed the selection of her
proposal and returned to her office.

“Aren’t you just an unmarried, pregnant slut? Do you think Mr. McKinney
really likes you? You are just a toy for him!” Debra shouted, charging at Lena.
Lena quickly sidestepped as Gideon, who just came, supported her
