He scoffed and didn’t care, just turned back and continued to focus on the noodles in the pot. It was unknown where he learned it from, but he managed to cook two bowls of noodles quite professionally.
He placed the noodles on the dining table, turned around and said to me, “Go wash your hands and come eat.”
Now that everyone had come over, I naturally had no reason to put on airs. I got up, washed my hands, and sat down at the dining table. There was an extra cup of iced drink in front of me, which was placed by Ezra.
“The climate in River City is quite nice, not too hot or cold, and aside from being a bit humid, it’s quite suitable for long-term living. What a pity,” he sighed, for some unknown reason.
I didn’t respond, taking a bite of the noodles instead. The taste was decent. As I was about to take a second bite, the person across from me spoke again, “How does it taste?”
I looked up, unexpectedly meeting his hopeful gaze. This man was handsome, quite pleasing to the eye except when he was killing. I lowered my gaze, saying lightly, “You may swallow.”
Upon hearing this, a smile appeared on his handsome face, and he said, “Then eat more.”
Not wanting to speak another word to him, I lowered my head and ate my noodles.

I didn’t talk much with him, I stopped eating because I had no appetite, and got up to sit back down on the living room sofa.
I don’t know if it’s just my imagination, but I always felt that Ezra’s temper seemed much better today than before.
He was a person who ate very quickly, which could be described as wolfing down his food. Indeed, how could someone like him be as elegant and refined as Walter?

“Turn right on the second floor.” He spoke, the thing in his hand already carelessly discarded.
Ignoring his actions, I got up and went upstairs.
The bedroom was large and warmly decorated. The bed sheets were lotus root pink, and both the wardrobe and the dressing table were in French style. Clearly, everything was arranged in a way that most women would like.
Even the clothes in the wardrobe were well-prepared. The pajamas were available in a variety of colors, and both the brand and quality were high-end.

He was within arm’s reach. I tilted my head back, smiling past his
slightly moving Adam’s apple, and asked him, “Ezra, you like me, don’t you?”
So close, I could clearly hear his heartbeat, so clear that it could be described as deafening.
He lowered his gaze, his tall figure standing coldly, allowing my fingertips to lightly touch his Adam’s apple, “Tabatha, I’m not short of women by my side.”
“Pilt!” I scoffed, pointing at his slightly moving Adam’s apple, “If you’re not lacking, why did you take a bullet for me? Why did you do all these?”
He looked at me, no longer speaking.
I looked up at his well-defined jawline, my gaze shifting to his l*ps. The man’s l*ps weren’t particularly thin, but because they were pursed, they appeared somewhat cool and thin. I tiptoed and leaned towards his l*ps, the atmosphere becoming somewhat ambiguous and sticky.
