I pursed my l*ps, remaining silent. I knew that as long as I asked if he was Ezra, everything would become clear. But, if I confronted him now, would he let me walk away so easily?
Captain Lucas was already dead.

This was a hospital. If I had screamed for help or asked for a*sistance at that time, would there have been a glimmer of hope?
“Let’s go, it’s not auspicious to be in the hospital on New Year’s Eve.” He spoke, his large hand wrapping around my waist, leading me towards the exit of the hospital. I stopped, unmoving.
