Chapter 263 Lost Contact
I had completely fallen silent, hiding bodies, destroying the scene. The bodies were severely damaged. One wrong step led to another, and by this point, I was completely on the defensive.
Knowing it was a trap set by Ashley, I still couldn’t avoid it. I couldn’t blame Sebastian for taking matters into his own hands. Given the circumstances at the time, perhaps all he could think of was to help me cover it up.

Because no evidence could be found that Ashley had committed murder, and I had personally testified that the person died in front of me, Lalso admitted that I had held the knife that killed Henry, and confessed that I had ordered someone to hide Henry’s b*dy.
All signs indicated that I was the murderer.
The situation was dire, I knew it clearly. If the police couldn’t find any evidence in my favor, it meant that I would have to bear the
responsibility for Henry’s death.
Without a cell phone, I couldn’t contact my mother and Alexander. Helpless, I had no choice but to ask Captain Lucas to find a way for me to see Cory.
Cory arrived quickly. In the meeting room, his eyes were almost swollen, with dark circles so large that they seemed to seep in. Without thinking, one could tell that the Conner Group had probably already fallen apart during this period.
Looking at me, Cory said, “Tabatha, are you okay in there? They didn’t give you a hard time, did they?”
