Chapter 240 It Was Daniel Who Handled It
Thinking of this, I turned to Walter and asked, “Could you help me get my phone back?” My phone had been taken away before the
interrogation.
Upon seeing this, he looked at me, the corners of his mouth slightly lifted, as if he had guessed what I was about to do. He nodded, “Good!”
Seeing him inexplicably in a good mood, I was somewhat puzzled.
However, my mind was still focused on how to contact Sebastian, so I didn’t think much about it.
Walter had my phone back to me in a moment. Taking the phone, I immediately called Sebastian.

I didn’t care about being polite anymore, I asked directly over the phone, “Sebastian, where is Henry’s b*dy?”

I didn’t beat around the bush with him, I said directly, “Ashley reported me for murder and hiding a b*dy, I was detained by the police, and they are now looking for Henry’s b*dy.”
The voice on the other end of the phone paused, then said, “You’ve been detained? Are you okay?”
Seeing him not getting to the point, I became somewhat anxious and said, “I’m fine, where did you put Henry’s b*dy?”
There seemed to be a moment of hesitation before the voice said, “The b*dy… I don’t know, it was Mr. Monroe who arranged for someone to handle it.”
“Daniel handled it?” I was astonished, my eyebrows furrowed in disbelief, “Didn’t you say before that you handled it? How…”
Sebastian on the other end sounded somewhat helpless, “Originally, I was supposed to handle it, but Mr. Monroe said that he had arranged for someone to take care of it. He claimed that the person he arranged. would handle it more efficiently and cleanly than I would, so I handed it over to him. Afterwards, he was afraid that you would feel indebted to him, so he didn’t let me tell you.”
I fell silent.
Looking at Walter in front of him, it was as if his brain had momentarily paused.

On the phone, I began, “So, are you with Mr. Monroe? Could you ask him where he put the b*dy?”
The voice on the other end of the phone paused for a few seconds before saying, “Here’s what you do, call Mr. Monroe. I was just a*signed by Mr. Monroe to handle things over at Freyhedge, and I won’t be able to return for a while. However, Mr. Monroe is in the country. You call him and ask him.”

Over the phone, I naturally couldn’t discern Daniel’s expression. I took a quiet breath and asked, “Mr. Monroe, was it you who arranged Henry’s b*dy?”
The other end of the phone was silent for a few seconds, then a single word came back to me. “Hmm!”
Hearing his response, I breathed a sigh of relief and said, “Can you tell me where you put his b*dy? I’ve run into some trouble here, the police are onto me, and Henry’s death has been exposed.”
I was somewhat flustered, not knowing what to say for a moment, and almost started to babble.
Daniel on the other end of the phone seemed very calm. He didn’t
answer my question, but instead asked irrelevantly, “Are you with your husband now?”
