As soon as I pushed the door open, I saw the light was on in the living room, but there was no one there. I could only hear a voice coming from the bedroom, sounding like someone was on the phone. I changed my shoes and prepared to go to the bedroom to greet Rachel.
The bedroom door was left open, and Rachel was sitting cross-legged on the small balcony, making a phone call. She shook her head, speaking into the phone, “I have something going on here, thank you for listening to all my nonsense, I won’t bother you anymore.”
Then, she hastily hung up the phone, looking at me with a face full of shock, her cheeks slightly flushed from nervousness, “Have…have you had dinner?”
I nodded, “I’ve eaten, how about you? Did you like the dishes I ordered?” I didn’t come back for dinner that night, so I ordered dishes for her in advance and had them delivered.
