Chapter 50 Let’s Have a Horse Race
Levi instantly froze and looked at Gianna with a secretive gaze. He maintained his cold expression and remained silent.
This woman was beautiful and fickle. He couldn’t figure out her thoughts at all, and her question was like a trap. Just took one step closer, and he would fall into the abyss.
He needed to reconsider whether there was affection or not, but he really regretted ending this
marriage prematurely.
Gianna lowered her eyes and smiled thinly but her expression was chilly. “Oh! I made a sl*p of the tongue. A heartless person like Mr. Rivera wouldn’t be affected by that insignificant past, would he?”
She continued, “As a businessman, the most important thing is profit. I don’t need to remind you of this. You should know about it better than me, Mr. Rivera.”
“What do you actually want to say?”
Levi’s face was gloomy, and when his icy voice sounded, it made people feel oppressed.
Gianna was seemingly unaware of it. “‘Since Mr. Rivera didn’t reject Empyrean Group joining the project because of his past relationship, there is only one more reason left to convince you. How about having a horse race with me?”
Afine strand of hair fell down her cheek, and Gianna’s expression was full of willfulness. “If you win, Empyrean Group will never mention joining the project again. If I win, Rivera Group will have to agree to Empyrean Group joining in.”

Levi’s horsemanship was professionally trained, and it could be said that he was on par professional players, but Gianna was confident that she would win against him today. Liam seemed to be in no position to interfere, and the bias in his words was very obvious. “Ms. Lewis has displayed her sincerity, and I have also kept her horse–riding skills in mind. I just don’t know if Mr. Rivera has confidence in his horsemanship skills.”
Levi frowned slightly, and his gaze darkened when he looked at Gianna. “Why should I race with you?”
Gianna shrugged with an indifferent attitude on her face. “Fine. Once I leave here, I will tell the whole Silver City that you, Levi Rivera, are a coward who is afraid of his ex–wife.”
With those words already thrown out, if Levi could really ignore these provocative words, he would not be Levi.
His cold voice rang out as he said, “Mark your words.”
Gianna quirked up her red l*ps and smiled brightly. “Of course.”
The two would be competing in flat racing. The track was around one mile, which was approximately equal to circling the racecourse three times.
From the viewing platform, one could see the two ride to the starting position together.
Gianna still chose the same brown warmblood. She clamped the horse’s belly and skillfully steered the horse to stand on the starting line.
She looked sideways at Levi, and her face under the helmet smiled heartily. “Mr. Rivera, are you ready?”
She didn’t expect to be able to compete head–on with Levi at the racecourse after their divorce, and for such an important project at that. The excitement in her heart was no less than the horses

that were about to compete.
She would win against Levi and trample his arrogance, just like how he treated her in three years of marriage.
Levi remembered Gianna’s bright smile with just one glance, and it was a beauty he had never seen before. He narrowed his eyes slightly, and his thoughts began to wander.
The whistle sounded at this moment, and Gianna’s horse set off half a step ahead. Levi returned to his senses and immediately rode his horse to catch up.
eyes of the The figures of two people riding horses, one at the front and one at the back, fell in the other people at the racecourse. The duel between a handsome man and a beautiful woman in a highly professional flat racing had invited everyone to stop and watch the competition. Gianna’s horse temporarily took the lead in the first lap, galloping all the way.
Levi’s horse followed closely behind, and after turning around the corner, Levi pa*sed Gianna by one step in the second lap.
His stern and profound facial features were coupled with his focused and calm expression. The lines of his muscles could be faintly seen through his shirt when he gripped the horse rope, causing most girls to scream quietly.
Seeing that the third lap was about to come, the two competed in almost the same position, and Levi’s horse was even further forward, making the crowd in the stands start to feel nervous.
