“Send all relevant information about the car accident to my email.”
“Yes, boss.”
A minute later, Alex sent all the information to Shawn.
Shawn clicked on his email inbox and quickly browsed the information.
Gianna woke up when he did not notice. “Shawn, what is this?”
Shawn continued browsing without squinting, not hiding anything. “I checked Susan’s identity and background, and there was no difference. Except that five years ago, she had a car accident and her parents died, but she survived.”
Gianna frowned, thinking of Susan’s hostility towards her. “Shawn, do you suspect that this car accident has something to do with me?”
Shawn handed her the phone. After Gianna finished reading, she shook her head and said, “Shawn, Susan and I didn’t know each other before this. As for her parents, I haven’t met them at
all.”
Why was Susan so hostile to her? It was as if there was a blood feud between them.
“Don’t think too much.”
Shawn patted her shoulder and comforted her. “Relax and let me handle it.”
Gianna nodded, feeling a little more doubtful in her heart, mixed with a hint of solemnity.
She felt that the situation was very complex.
Seeing her solemn expression, Shawn changed the subject. “We will arrive in Colobiye in one hour…”
Gianna took a deep breath and nodded.
She had never been to this strange yet familiar city since she graduated from college.
Gianna couldn’t help but think of Levi, whom she met at Colobiye University.
The plane parked on a private tarmac.
Alex had been waiting for a long time. When he saw Shawn, he rushed forward excitedly and pretended to beg for a hug, “Boss, I’ve been waiting for you for a long time…”
Shawn dodged away.
Alex didn’t give up and rushed over again. However, the next second, he noticed Gianna who was following Shawn.
He blinked and stopped all movements, and the gossip in his heart suddenly emerged.
There was actually a woman next to Shawn!
This was such a rare experience.
“Boss, this is not an illusion, right?”
Seeing his exaggerated appearance, Shawn held his forehead helplessly and took the lead in introducing Gianna, “Gianna, this is Alex.”
Gianna smiled and waved to him proactively. “Hello, Alex! I’m Gianna!”
Alex thought, “Gianna, is she Gianna?”
The word Gianna was not unfamiliar to Alex and all the close friends around Shawn.
Although they had never met her in person, they knew that this was the person that Shawn had been loving for many years!
Alex’s heart was so boiling that he couldn’t hide his excitement and subconsciously blurted out, “Hello, sister-in-law!”
What he said made the air quiet.
Gianna was a little embarra*sed and her cheeks turned red. She subconsciously wanted to explain, “I… I’m not…”
Alex felt that Gianna was being shy and said quickly, “Sister-in-law, don’t be formal. We are all family members. From now on, just call me Alex…”
Gianna hesitated for a long time, then Shawn pulled her closer to him. “You scared her.” Alex thought, “My boss is such a cool boyfriend!”
