Chapter 366 Hostage Tony
Gianna’s voice was devoid of warmth, causing Tony to involuntarily shiver. “Ms. Lewis, can’t we talk about this? Using a knife is a bit excessive…”
However, Gianna displayed no mercy. She unhesitatingly sliced through Tony’s clothing with at small knife, making contact with his skin. “Talk about what? Did the people you victimized in the past get a chance to talk?”
“Release Mr. Olsen, and perhaps we’ll spare your life,” someone from below shouted loudly.
Gianna sneered and told Tony, “Tell them to step back, or I might lose my grip.”
Tony knew Gianna wasn’t making empty threats. He sternly ordered the people below, “What are you all waiting for? Step back!”
Reluctantly, the group complied and moved away from the scene.
Gianna was in close proximity to Tony, near enough to observe the pores on his skin. She narrowed her eyes, and it suddenly clicked. “The last time we met, you had facial surgery, and today you’re back to your original appearance. My suspicions were right, weren’t they?”
Tony didn’t anticipate Gianna uncovering this. He took a deep breath and replied, “So what if you’re right, Ms. Lewis? Even if you catch me in Silver City or even kill me, do you think it’s the
end?”
“You’re thinking too simplistically,” he continued, “In our line of work, it’s a precarious existence with dangers lurking in the shadows. Don’t blame me for not warning you. Don’t mess with the wrong people. When the time comes…”
Tony left the sentence hanging, but the threat was implicit.
Gianna clearly grasped his insinuation.
But someone had to take action.
Even if they couldn’t dismantle the entire operation, they had to do their utmost to prevent them from harming more people.
“Ms. Lewis, even if you catch me in Silver City, what’s the point? Can Silver City’s laws hold me? Eventually, I’ll be extradited back to Flenning… Can you guarantee I won’t escape in the meantime?”
Gianna responded coldly, “Don’t worry! Even if you return to Flenning, you won’t escape legal consequences. I won’t leave any room for you to evade justice.”
Tony nonchalantly shrugged, as though he believed Gianna could handle it herself.
At this moment, footsteps could be heard from outside. Subordinates rushed in to report, but upon witnessing the scene, they were rendered speechless.
“M-M-Mr. Olsen?”
Tony asked, “What’s going on?”
The subordinate hastily reported, “Mr. Olsen, numerous planes have arrived outside, and Flenning’s police force is here, completely encircling the entire island.”
Upon hearing this, Gianna turned to Shawn. She hadn’t realized he had contacted the Flenning police.
“Let’s go! There’s no need to linger here,” Gianna instructed.
Tony dared not resist. Gianna withdrew her hand, allowing Shawn to escort him out.
On the small island, númerous Flenning police officers had arrived, taking control of everyone present.
Ultimately, Tony was handcuffed and taken away.
Before leaving, he glanced back at Gianna, and his words were cryptic.
“Gianna, our game isn’t over yet.”
Gianna frowned slightly, and Tony smiled, saying, “Someday, we’ll meet again.”
A sense of foreboding suddenly welled up within Gianna.
