Gianna hummed in response.
“Among them is a top influencer by the name of Celine. I heard she got caught for tax evasion and was fined several hundred million dollars!
“An influencer like her must have connections to some powerful individuals who fund her, judging from what she had done. However, that incident has caused quite a stir, and I’m sure everyone has heard about it.”
Mario had lost it. The incident had a significant impact on his family, and the company almost went bankrupt because of it.
“How did Gianna know about this?” He thought.
Gianna didn’t bo.ner with him and turned to one of Sally’s lackeys. “Your family is in the seafood trade, and you suffered significant losses due to the typhoon. I heard you even borrowed money from loan sharks. Have you paid off the debt?”
The lackey was visibly displeased by the revelation. Then, Gianna turned her attention to the other lackey. “I heard your family was hit hard by the financial crisis last year and still hasn’t recovered. They still owe the bank a lot of money. Is that true?”
The lackey looked stunned.
“How… How… How did you know?”
Gianna shrugged indifferently, unaffected by their reactions. “How I know of these doesn’t matter. What matters is that your despicable behavior and ingratiating attitude disgusts me.”
With that, Gianna raised her head and stared at Sally.
“Wonder Electronics has indeed been doing well in recent days, but Creation Electronics has been growing stronger over the past two years. It’s possible… that they might inadvertently outdo Wonder Electronics! So, this business summit is a crucial opportunity that you have to hold onto, and it could be… a make-or-break moment.”
In her anger, Sally’s face turned pale.
But she couldn’t find any words to dispute Gianna because what Gianna said was entirely true. Seeing them squirming in silent agitation, Gianna felt quite satisfied.
She thus determined that there was no need for her to stay any longer and got up to leave.
“Guys, I’ll be taking my leave. Goodbye.”
With that, Gianna left the place, leaving her former cla*smates looking at each other in shock.
“What’s Gianna’s background? How does she know so much about business secrets?” Asked one of them in curiosity.
“Could she actually be a tycoon? We were just mocking her earlier.”
“No way! She used to look so poor in school. Could she have gotten into a relationship with
someone wealthy?
Confusion rippled through them.
Sally listened to their discussions it; frustration. She took out her phone an ade a call. “Help me investigate someone named Gianna Lewis.”
After getting out of the restaurant, Gianna chuckled and shook her head.
As soon as she left the scene, she noticed Thiago’s flashy sports car parked at the entrance. “Thiago, why are you here?”
Thiago explained, “I was worried about you, so I followed to ch*ck on you. Were they bullying
vou?”
“Thiago, you underestimate me.”
Nonetheless, Thiago noted down the names of the people involved. “Don’t worry. I’ll find an opportunity to teach them a lesson.”
Gianna immediately changed the topic. “Let’s go, Thiago. You promised to take me to eat
delicious, and I’m starving.”
Thiago ruffled her hair. “You little foodie. Some things never change.”
As Gianna got in iago’s car, she had no idea that her actions had been observed by Sally’s lackeys, and it conied their suspicions.
“Sally, guess what I just saw! Gianna got into a sports car!”
“It’s highly likely that he’s the man who is Gianna’s sugar daddy.”
“We used to study together, and now she’s shamelessly being someone’s mistress!”
