Gianna teased, “Your future wife is going to be so lucky.”
Thiago quickly interrupted her. “Gianna, I don’t even have a girlfriend. Cut the nonsense, and don’t jump to conclusions.”
Gianna chuckled. “What’s the matter? Feeling a bit embarra*sed?”
“No, not at all. Hurry up. It’s time to go…”

To avoid being recognized by fans on the street, Thiago had disguised himself a bit before taking Gianna out in his flashy sports car.
They arrived at the most famous local commercial street, a paradise for luxury shopping and gourmet dining. Thus, it was the top pick for people on a shopping trip.
Gianna got out of the car first and waited by the roadside while Thiago went to park the car in the garage. However, a woman spoke up soon after that. “Gianna, it really is you…”
Hearing the familiar voice, Gianna instinctively furrowed her brow. She turned around, only to see her lifelong arch-nemesis, Sally Schmidt, with two of her lackeys standing behind her. Gianna couldn’t be bothered to deal with her, but owing to the fact that they used to be cla*smates, she decided to greet her, a formality of sorts. “What a coincidence.”
Sally’s family was in the electronics business, and she had been pampered by her family from childhood. Given that, she could perhaps be considered a socialite.
However, when Gianna was in school, almost no one, except for the school authorities, knew about her true identity. She did that in order to avoid standing out from her other cla*smates.
She had even worked part-time to care for stray animals.
As a result, most of her cla*smates believed she came from a poor family that hadn’t much money. Such a status was particularly conspicuous in a school for the rich.
Furthermore, Gianna excelled academically and won scholarships every year, while Sally could never catch up.
Over time, Sally, who was determined to win at all costs, developed a deep resentment toward
Gianna.
And Gianna had never explained anything. She let her achievements speak for themselves. “Gianna, we haven’t been in touch since graduation, Where are you working now? You haven’t been unemployed, have you…”
Sally’s tone was tinged with mockery.
Gianna didn’t want to engage with her and casually replied. “Just a jobless wanderer. Why ask? Are you perhaps planning to introduce a job to me?”
“Sally has taken over the family business. You must have heard of Wondeyee zonics! She’s the general manager of the company, earning tens of millions of dollars a year.”
“If you speak to her nicely, she can arrange a job for you.”
Sully’s two lackeys chimed in one after the other.
They stood before Gianna with a superior attitude.
Sally also nodded casually. “It’s just a job, nothing too difficult. Our company happens to be looking for a cleaning lady. Want to give it a try?
Her comment elicited laughter from her two lackeys.
“How about it? Sally is still taking care of her old cla*smates. The job as a cleaning lady job pays three thousand dollars a month! You, being from humble background, are probably only suited for such work.”
Gianna didn’t want to waste time arguing with them and turned to leave.
However, Sally wasn’t ready to let that opportunity sl*p and quickly reached out, grabbing her
arm.
