Chapter 31 Give Her a Chance
Three days later, at the Courthouse.
Their lawyers made an appointment to go through the formalities, and Gianna and Levi showed up as scheduled.
After taking the form, Gianna quickly filled it out without any hesitation, while Levi, on the other hand, was hesitant to write.
Gianna glanced at him and said in an indifferent voice, “Mr. Rivera, I’m in a hurry.”
Being urged, Levi put on a long face and immediately filled out the form.
After filling out the forms, they handed them to the staff.
“Wait a moment.”
Seeing that the divorce decrees were about to be stamped, Levi suddenly said something.
The staff stopped immediately. She didn’t expect that the first couple in the morning would turn out to be Lévi and his secretary!
She thought if love had come in time, they would have arrived at the wrong place. To her surprise, they came here for divorce!
Looking at Gianna, Levi asked in a cold tone, revealing his aloofness as ever, “Have you really thought it over?”
If she changed her mind, he would temporarily spare her from unilaterally asking for a divorce, leaving at will, causing him to spend so much more money in Dubai, and making Naomi suffer grievance…
He was willing to give her a chance.
“I have thought it over very thoroughly.” Gianna raised her eyebrows and said playfully, “What? Do you think I’m still joking with you?”
Seeing her resolute attitude, Levi felt suffocated in his chest, as if he was being pulled by an inexplicable downward feeling.
During the days when Gianna left, he was shocked that the two of them rarely sat down and chatted.
His tone was obviously softer. “I can give you some time to calm down, and then we can talk about our marriage. There is indeed too little communication between us.”
Levi paused and continued, “I have noticed your contribution to Rivera Group in the past three years. When you think it over, you are always welcome back to the Rivera family and Rivera Group.”
What he meant was self–evident. He didn’t want a divorce or Gianna to leave her job.
“There’s no need to calm down, and there’s no need to communicate.”
Gianna looked into Levi’s gloomy eyes. Her voice was cold, resolute, and mocking. “I wanted to love you wholeheartedly before, but you pretended not to see it. Now it’s too late to understand. What’s more, Naomi’s belly is bulging. Don’t you want to marry her?”
“I will take care of Naomi.” Levi’s eyes flickered somehow.
Gianna was really speechless, thinking their divorce decrees were about to be stamped, but the blind Levi still thought he was a heartthrob that every woman fancied.
Chapter 31 Give Her a Chance
What a narcissist!
What a scumbag!
“Don’t think that after you say a few sweet words now, I will obediently go back and serve the Rivera family. Mr. Rivera, you’d better stop day–dreaming.” The irony in her words was deeper. Levi couldn’t bear Gianna’s repeated ridicule anymore. His face darkened. Frowning, he no longer suppressed his anger and said coldly, “Don’t regret it!”
“Mr. Rivera, don’t worry. I will absolutely not!”
Gianna answered resolutely and said to the staff, “Please hurry up.”
After receiving the divorce decree, she walked away with high strides without any delay, leaving Levi alone, holding the divorce decree in his hand as if lost.
Levi’s gloomy eyes always followed that bright figure.
Three years of marriage finally came to an end, and it seemed that nothing was left..
A sense of loss swept over Levi, making him almost out of breath.
In the Rivera Manor, at the dinner table.
In order to celebrate Levi’s divorce, Sienna prepared a sumptuous dinner early in the evening. Naomi also changed from her usual gentle and sweet style and put on an elegant white dress, as if Levi’s divorce day was her wedding day.
“Come on. Let’s cheer for driving away that jinx!” Sienna looked joyful and took the lead in
toasting.
Alaia hurriedly held her gla*s and echoed, “Our family has finally got rid of that jinx! Levi, you will be free from now on.”
Naomi was pregnant and couldn’t drink alcohol. There was juice in her gla*s, and she smiled at Levi and said softly, “Levi, congratulations! You finally divorced her.”
