Chapter 199 Shoot Yourself in the Foot
“Lady, are you feeling unwell?” A waiter walked up to Alaia and asked with concern.
Alaia rubbed her temples and shook her head. However, when she saw the waiter, the heat in her b*dy seemed to increase.
All of a sudden, she subconsciously wanted to get closer to the waiter.
“I feel… a little hot…”
The waiter understood and said, “There is a hotel next to our club where you can rest. How about I take you there?”
Alaia nodded, her flushed face getting hotter.
In a daze, Alaia left with the waiter.
The staff reported to Kolton, who was upstairs, saying, “Mr. Campbell, everything is done.” Kolton looked at Gianna and shrugged, “Ms. Lewis, is there anything else you need me to do?” Gianna swirled the wine in her gla*s with a beautiful smile that looked unworldly but deadly. “Thank you, Mr. Campbell! Let’s see what kind of follow–up plan they had ready.”
Kolton was a bit shocked.
Sure enough, the old saying was true, “Don’t mess with women!”
“Mr. Campbell, your wine is good.” Gianna said casually.
Kolton smiled and replied, “Ms. Lewis, I’m glad you like it. You are welcome to come over and taste our new products anytime.”
Saying this, Kolton glanced at Shawn, who was standing aside, and said with a sly smile, “Since Mr. Fallon is paying the bill, I will definitely save the best wine for
you.”
Gianna was amused and said, “You are quite a remarkable businessman, Mr. Campbell! You will always make profits like this.”
But Kolton felt his words didn’t have the effect he expected, so he added, “You flatter me, Ms. Lewis. I can offer all the wine for your wedding with Shawn for free!”
Hearing these words, Gianna suddenly choked on the wine and felt her throat burning.
Shawn gave Kolton a warning glare, but Kolton didn’t mind.
He meant what he said.
“Ms. Lewis, now that we have talked about it, maybe you should make a plan and pick a date…” Gianna waved her hand quickly.
Before she could speak, Shawn stepped forward and took Gianna’s hand, saying, “Gianna, let me take you home.”
Gianna was embarra*sed.
She obediently put down the gla*s and left with Shawn as if running away from something.
Seeing this, Kolton couldn’t help but smile.
This Ms. Lewis was different from words in the street. She was actually… quite adorable!
In the car, Gianna gazed out of the car window at the pa*sing scenery, feeling sober and sensible.
“Kolton was only joking just now. Don’t take it seriously.” Shawn looked forward and tried to comfort Gianna.

Hearing his words, Gianna secretly felt somewhat disappointed, but she concealed it very well. She just nodded and lowered her eyes.
“I think he must have misunderstood. It doesn’t matter. I will explain it clearly to him when we meet next time…”
“No need.”
Gianna looked confused and asked, “Why?”
“Explanations will only make things worse. So, there is no need to explain.”
After saying this, Shawn asked, “Do you feel bad for what happened tonight?” Gianna shook her head slightly.
She didn’t regret what she did to Alaia and Emily tonight. They deserved it.
“I will be a hypocrite if I say I feel bad. They plotted all this just to ruin my reputation. Now they just shot themselves in the foot.”
