Chapter 189 The Courage to Love Again
Levi stood frozen in place and felt chilling cold.
“Is this how it ends without even giving me a chance?”
Levi sensed that something had completely been out of his control. It felt like he could never hold onto her again.
This feeling made Levi inexplicably anxious.
Just then, Joyce drove past him in a car.
Levi turned, watching Joyce’s car drive in the direction Gianna had gone. For some reason, a sense of unease surged within him.
Without hesitation, Levi started the car and chased after her.
Gianna drove the car while making a phone call to Kaylee. “Baby, my design proposal got approved. I secured the position of the chief designer for this year’s fashion show in Silver City.” Upon hearing this, Kaylee was filled with joy.
“Congratulations, babe! Should we celebrate tonight?”
Gianna quickly replied, “I already made plans with Shawn tonight.”
“Wow! What’s going on? Spill the beans to me.”
Gianna shook her head and said, “What are you thinking? Shawn and I are good friends. Don’t let your imagination run wild!”
However, Kaylee remained unconvinced.
“It seems you’re confused as an insider! But seriously, Shawn is truly a hundred times better than your ex–husband. You might end up lonely if you miss out on such a great man.”
Gianna jokingly replied, “Well, then I’ll just be lonely!”
Kaylee became anxious and asked, “No way! Gianna, tell me the truth. Are you still thinking about that bastard?”
“No,” Gianna replied.
“Then what’s going on with you?”
Gianna pursed her l*ps and looked ahead. Now, she was certain that she had let go of Levi, but she had wasted three years in a miserable marriage. She just didn’t dare to love again.
She didn’t have the courage to love anymore.
“Hey, sis, say something!”
“Alright, let it be! Right now, I just want to improve the company’s performance and successfully organize the fashion show. The other matters can be put on hold for now.”
Just as Gianna finished speaking, a black Volkswagen suddenly darted out in front of her and headed straight toward her.
Gianna froze.
The sense of death approached, causing her to break out in a cold sweat.
Instinctively, she violently turned the steering wheel.
At the critical moment, a Bentley sped out and directly blocked her car, colliding head–on with the Volkswagen.

“Bang!” The sound echoed in her ears.
Gianna saw the Bentley being hit by the Volkswagen, creating a deep pit and emitting thick black. smoke from the front. Her eyes widened in disbelief.
“Darling, what happened? What’s going on?” Kaylee’s worried voice came from the phone.
However, Gianna was completely oblivious to it all.
She recognized that car and knew who the owner was.
Almost without hesitation, Gianna opened the car door and got out of the car, stumbling towards the Bentley.
Through the window, she saw Levi. His face was covered in blood, and he slumped over the steering wheel.
Her heart seemed to stop beating.
Gianna kept pounding on the car window. Her voice was trembling as she shouted, “Levi, wake up! Wake up!”
Levi seemed to feel her calling and slowly opened his eyes.
“Gi… Gianna…” He called out her name in a daze.
He seemed to catch a glimpse of her silhouette before his hand silently dropped, and he fell unconscious.
