Chapter 167 We Will Never Be Friends
However, it was quite obvious that Alaia didn’t seem to appreciate it.
“Alaia, I’ll give you one chance. Take down this artwork from the design exhibition yourself, or else you’ll regret it.”
Alaia ignored her completely.
Gianna was confident that Alaia had no evidence since she didn’t have the original manuscript. With a smirk, Gianna said.
“Suit yourself.”
Then she straightened her back and walked away arrogantly.
As she pushed open the gla*s door, she bumped into Victor. “Victor, what are you doing here?”
Victor didn’t answer her question but glanced at Gianna not far away and casually asked, “When did you and Gianna become so close?”
Alaia disdainfully replied, “Victor, what nonsense are you talking about? I’m not close to her. She’s now the lady of the Lewis family, someone I can’t possibly a*sociate with.“.
Her words were filled with sarcasm.
“Oh.” Victor drawled, not saying much more.
Alaia didn’t pay any more attention to Victor and arrogantly walked away.
After Alaia left, Victor lowered his head and looked at his phone screen. It displayed a recording, which had been paused for five minutes.
His eyes darkened. He pressed the stop button and saved the recording.
“Ms. Lewis, long time no see.”
Victor greeted Gianna proactively. Today, he had dropped his previous contempt, and his tone was somewhat complimentary.
Gianna raised an eyebrow and asked.
“What’s your relationship with Professor Hastings?”
Victor smiled. “With the same last name, our relationship must be profound. Are you also
interested in becoming my father’s graduate student? Given your qualifications, it would be a bit of a waste.”
Gianna understood.
She didn’t expect that Carmen and Victor were actually father and son.
Levi’s friends were indeed extraordinary!
“I see.”
“By the
way,
Gianna!”
Victor called out to her again, though he didn’t want to admit his past ignorance. Sometimes, actions speak louder than words.
“What is it?”
Victor rubbed his nose, looking somewhat sheepish.
“Ms. Lewis, I want to apologize to you for my previous hostility and disdain. Can you accept my apologies and forgive me?”

Chapter 167 We Will Never Be Friends
Gianna never expected Victor to apologize to her.
“No need to apologize. We just have different positions.”
“No, Gianna. Putting aside Levi’s connection, can we be friends? Just ordinary friends?”
Gianna was surprised.
But she could vaguely guess the reason. “I think you’re not apologizing to me but to my identity, am I right?”
Gianna saw through his thoughts.
Victor wanted to explain, but Gianna interrupted, “No need to explain, I understand. There is just one thing I must tell you. Levi and I will never have mutual friends.”
In other words, they would never be friends.
Victor reached into his pocket and touched his phone. He had originally planned to take out the recording, but he put it back in. “Hmm… understood. If we can’t be friends, let’s have a nodding acquaintance.”
Gianna didn’t say anything else and walked away.
After she left, Victor took out his phone and dialed Levi’s number.
When Gianna returned to the design exhibition, Shawn had already contacted the creative team and planned to remove Alaia’s design.
“Gianna, let me take care of this matter.”
