Chapter 129 Bold Claims
In her custom purple gown and towering stilettos, Gianna was the epitome of elegance and poise. Her innate beauty was undeniable, but tonight, the gown heightened her natural allure.
As she entered, the room buzzed with whispers, and all heads turned her
way.
“Look at her! That’s the Lewis family heiress. She’s absolutely dazzling,” murmured one onlooker.
“That dress! I wonder who designed it. She wears it so well,” another chimed in.
“Levi must be riddled with regret,” someone quipped, “To let go of someone as radiant as her for Naomi? He’s lost his mind.”
“Hey, guess what! Mr. Rivera also came today.”
Amid the hushed conversations, several attendees exchanged knowing glances, their attention, drawn to Levi.
From the moment Gianna arrived, he seemed entranced, his gaze unwavering from her.
Breaking the trance, Jason said, “Mr. Rivera, word on the floor is that the mastermind behind Fallon Group hails from Flenning. But it’s all hearsay. No one’s seen this elusive figure. Do you think they’ll make an appearance tonight?”
Levi’s eyes narrowed, thoughtful. Most of the attendees were probably eager to get a glimpse of this shadowy figure.
And, in spite of Levi’s vast network, the leader’s identity remained elusive. It inevitably made him somewhat frustrated.
“We’ll see,” Levi mused, “Tonight might just reveal what’s behind the curtain.”
After speaking, Levi’s gaze trailed Gianna through the crowd. He saw her gracefully interacting with business magnates, every frown and smile perfectly timed and expressed.
Back when she was with Rivera Group, as a secretary, she often attended such gatherings. Those experiences honed her ability to speak to people in ways that resonated with them.
By the end of her rounds, Gianna’s handbag was brimming with business cards. They were promising connections for the Empyrean Group.
But the strain of the evening and her towering heels began to show, prompting her to seek a nearby couch for a brief respite.
“Ms. Rivera, word around is the head of Fallon Group is one of the city’s most eligible bachelors. This might be your night!”
Alaia was dressed up beautifully tonight, staying with several of her attendants.
Ahead of the event, tales of the Fallon Group leader’s grandeur had reached Alaia. Egged on by Sienna, she attended the party with Levi.
She had hopes of ensnaring the mysterious magnate.”
“The head of Fallon Group is really mysterious and unpredictable. What if he’s not as dashing as the rumors suggest, Ms. Rivera? That’d be a twist.”
With a smirk, Alaia retorted, “You all are just guessing. Trust me, he’s no plain Joe.”
The room filled with whispers once more. Everyone wondered if Alaia had inside intel on the faceless CEO of Fallon Group. Alaia’s words revealed that she seemed to have met the
guy.
