Chapter 127 The Fallon Group Enigma
Warren pondered, second–guessing his assumptions, “Can Gianna truly be riding such a streak of luck?”
He hadn’t anticipated that in just a few short days, Turner Group, a real estate titan in Silver City, would evaporate from the scene. All arrows seemed to point towards Gianna’s influence in their precipitous decline.
“Mr. Denley, Ms. Lewis seems to have some serious mettle. About that wager you have with her…”
His assistant couldn’t even finish before Warren interjected sharply, “Enough! She’s just a woman, and she is thinking she can stand tall in this cutthroat business world? Dream on! Even if she’s swiped deals from Turner Group, it’s merely a drop in the vast ocean that is Empyrean Group. And we’re not even talking about that thirty percent stake!”
Yet, beneath his tough exterior, Warren’s eyes betrayed unease.
This was a gamble he was resolute on winning.
He thought, “Time will tell, Gianna.”
In a week’s time, news broke that Turner Group was bankrupt.
However, from the shadows, an enigmatic force discreetly took over Turner Group’s remnants, injecting substantial capital. Within a fortnight, Fallon Group emerged, rapidly cementing its position in Silver City.
The rumor milled in Silver City’s business sphere was working overtime, churning out whispers about Fallon Group.
“Who’s really pulling the strings at Fallon Group? They’re so shrouded in mystery!”
“I’ve got wind of their swift rise. They must have some serious backers. Word is, they’ve snatched up a third of Silver City’s deals.”
“And just when everyone thought the Turner family’s downfall would reshuffle Silver City’s elite deck, in comes Fallon Group, flipping the entire table.”
Crossing the lobby, Gianna and her right–hand man, Raymond, couldn’t help but catch snippets of chatter from a cluster of receptionists.
Stepping into the elevator, the doors sealing behind them, Gianna said, “Fallon Group seems to be the talk of the town.”
Raymond nodded. “Indeed, Ms. Lewis. Their enigmatic aura, combined with their sudden powerful emergence, has Silver City abuzz. Everyone’s itching to know the mastermind behind Fallon Group.”
“Have we unearthed anything?” Gianna inquired, a hint of curiosity in her eyes.
Raymond shook his head slightly. “We’ve dug around, but they’re fortified like a fortress. No breakthroughs.”
A tinge of frustration edged Gianna’s voice.
“The Fallon Group puzzle is deeper than I expected.”
“Absolutely, Ms. Lewis. Their arrival in Silver City isn’t mere chance. I sense turbulent times
ahead.”

Nodding in agreement, Gianna commented, “Allies or adversaries, we tread lightly. Until we get a clearer picture, we’d best steer clear in business dealings.”
“Of course, Ms. Lewis.”
As the elevator doors slid open, Gianna, her heels clicking with purpose, headed to her office.
Her secretary, efficient as ever, showed her the day’s schedule.
“Ms. Lewis, your schedule for today.”
A quick glance, and Gianna said, “Got it.”
“Oh, Ms. Lewis,” her secretary interjected, “We received an invitation from Fallon Group this morning.”
Gianna paused, her attention piqued. “An invitation?”
The secretary extended the invitation for her perusal.
