Ethan’s words struck a chord in Olivia’s heart. He knew the expectations Olivia had of her mother.

“If you have a sense of shame, you’d stay away from Ethan instead of working at his company. Marina is being ridiculed because of you.”
Olivia looked at the cold expression on Chloe’s face. She remembered that when she was a young child, she would try her best to get good grades.

Chloe trembled in fury. Raising her hand, she brought it toward Olivia’s face. “You’re so rude! Is this how you speak to your mother?”
