“So, you’re going to divorce her or what? I mean, after the so–called marriage?” Brandon asked while the other three of us fixed our gaze on him and awaited his answer.
“Yeah. A kind of contract marriage. I’m planning on making a marriage proposal to her. For at year or six months is okay by me then, I will pay her for the service. There will be no string attached” He answered.
“And you think she’s going to accept such a proposal from you? Have you forgotten that she’s the heiress to her father’s company? She has everything already, she will never want your money. Plus, she doesn’t want to see you. Steven said.
I succumbed to him whilst nodding my head. “Steven is right. I heard from Emily that she is a nice girl. They asked her to come to spend a few days here with them but she declined and it’s all because of you. She’s avoiding you, man” I said as I smiled and pat his shoulder briefly.
“Whatever” he hissed and we all laughed at him.
“What about you, Brandon? The lucky girl, huh?” Anthon said teasingly raising an eyebrow at
him.
“There’s nothing to talk about that evil witch. She’s too annoying for my liking. She keeps pestering me, showing up in my office, calling me, and asking me out on a date. Imagine the gut that spoilt brat has” he hissed as he gulped down his drink in one shot.
We all laugh at him because Brandon never liked that girl. But I commend her courage. She’s a lady yet, she goes for what she wants without bothering about what other people would say.
I’m very slow in judging people but I would want her for Brandon. She seems like a good girl and I believe she and Brandon will make a good couple.
It’s time my
friends also settled down with a beautiful and responsible woman.
“Brandon, why don’t you just give her a chance? Besides, she’s not one of these girls we have a nightstand with and fling away the second day. She’s a responsible, hard–working lady. Just give it a trial” I added as I advised him again.
No way! And please, y’all should stop talking about that girl. I don’t want to listen to anything that involves her he said, looking upset already.
We all laughed again and raised our hands in the air before deciding to enjoy the night
hour talking about our problems.

I was busy with my system in my office whilst my eyes were fixed on them intensely when suddenly, the door burst open.
With my anger rising and about to burst at whoever dared walk into my office without my permission, my anger slowly died down.
“Babe….” I trailed off, getting up from my seat to hug her. My face lit up with happiness immediately I saw that she was the one. I have buried myself in work since morning but seeing her now in my office makes me more energetic all of a sudden.
She dropped her bag and engulfed me in a tight hug.
Okay, this is unlike her. What’s going on in that head?
I didn’t say a word, I allowed her to stay there in my arms and a few minutes later, she broke the hug and looked into my eyes intensely before placing her l*p on mine.
It started slowly but then, it became more intense and I couldn’t even control myself any longer. When we arrived back in New York yesterday night, we made love to each other. This morning, we also did and now, I can’t seem to control myself.
She’s just irresistible. I can’t seem to function well whenever she’s around me especially if she’s acting this way. Her nice curvy b*dy is always one thing that makes me go crazy for her.
“f**k babe! You’re making me go crazy!” I muttered under my breath with a little groan.
“That’s my plan, to make you go crazy only for me so that you won’t ever see another woman” She said and that got me mad.
Just when we were about to enjoy the moment, she had to ruin it again with her crazy insecurity.
I slowly and gently push her away from me. Looking at my face in a confused state, she asked. “Bryan, what’s wrong?”
“Why are you here?” I asked whilst I walked back to my seat.
“Is that question meant for me or it was a mistake? Of course, I’m here to see you, and since when did you begin to question my presence in your office?” She asked as a confused look suddenly plastered on her face again.
“Are you here to monitor me again, Emily? To watch each of my moves and to see if I’m with another lady, isn’t it?” I asked, getting pissed by her recent annoying behavior.
She’s making it hand for both of us which is not good. If this continues this way, it’s going to
apart in no time.

“Bryan! Can you just stop it? Stop making it look like I’m doing something wrong. I’m doing this only because I love you and I don’t want to lose you!” She busted.
f**k! This is not going to end well between us. We might end up having a big argument and I do not want that to happen.
“Emily, I think you should return home. I have loads of work on my desk
“Are you asking me out of your office? Bryan! What’s wrong with you!” She yelled, her eyes becoming red slowly..
I could tell that she was hurt by my words but I needed to do this. I need to make her understand that all she’s doing is wrong. She needs to stop suspecting me about every little thing just because she felt I might leave her for another woman.

“Stop! Just stop, Bryan! Stop calling me that” She said and tears began to stream down her cheeks. My heart was immediately struck with pain from that. I love her way too much to see her shed tears because of me. I do not want to hurt her in any way. “Can you just stop hurting me by acting this way? I never knew you could turn out this way with me. You become nonchalant about me ever since that woman showed up in your life. You make me feel like 1 mean nothing to you again!”
“No, you’re wrong. You became this way all because of your insecurity. I’m never going to cheat on you for F*** sake and you know that! You’re my wife and you know how much I love you! I love you so much with all my heart. How many F***ing times do you want me to keep repeating this to you?!”
“But Bryan-”
“If you continue this way then, it’s going to be hard for the both of us. Believe me, Emily, that this action of yours will ruin us both. I want this marriage to work for us but if you continue being this way, it’s going to ruin us instead. For goodness sake, how did you end up becoming like this? This is unlike you”
She didn’t say a word to me after that. She only stared at me with those killing eyes. She looked very disappointed. A few seconds later, she picked up her bag and ran out of my office even before I could stop her.
I was tempted to go after her but I believe that’s not the right decision to take.
Just when I sat back and buried my face in my hand, I heard a click on my door and it burst open again.
This time, it was Sky.
Hey bab. What’s going on! I just met Emily on my way here and the looks and. Did anything
between you two?” He asked as lie walked in and moved closer to where was atting
with a worried and confused look on his face..
A heavy sigh escaped my l*p before I answered “I don’t know. It’s getting out of hand day by
day”
