Chapter 307 Why Not
A few days ago, Alisha passed by Fleur Villa when she went to the Wright residence to pick Finnegan up.

Alisha reassured, “Don’t worry. My grandfather must have already informed Fleur Villa. Jacques wouldn’t dare to act recklessly.”
Yawning, Finnegan said, “Go ahead with your work, then. I’m going to catch up on some sleep.”
He spent a long time between the sheets with Bernice last night and woke up early that day, so he felt somewhat sleepy.

He couldn’t make it back to have dinner with her tonight, so he naturally had to give her a call and let her know about it.
The call was answered quickly. As Alisha floored the gas pedal and sped off in a fit, Finnegan started, “Darling, the Wahlstrom family asked me to treat a patient tonight. I might be back a bit late, so don’t wait for me for dinner.”
Bernice, however, had an unusual train of thought. “So you’re currently with Ms. Wahlstrom?”
Finnegan glanced sideways at Alisha.
His gaze involuntarily lingered on the part of her b*dy outlined by the tightly fastened seatbelt before he murmured an affirmation. “Yes.”
Bernice’s tone immediately turned serious. “Finnegan, I noticed that Ms. Wahlstrom looks differently. You must behave. If you were to give her a chance, I wouldn’t give you one!”
Unexpectedly, Bernice was actually worried about that
Finnegan couldn’t help feeling amused. “Don’t worry. I’m not interested in her. Otherwise, something would have happened between us before I got together with you.”

Finnegan acted as if he didn’t hear that. He chatted with Bernice for a while and only ended the call after soothing her with sweet words.
“What was the meaning of that? Am I that inferior?”
Upon seeing him hang up the phone, Alisha questioned him.
Finnegan closed his eyes. “That’s irrelevant. I only want to be faithful to one person. Don’t tell me you’re willing to be the other woman?”
To his surprise, Alisha retorted fiercely, “Why not when I’ve already made myself clear?”
That left Finnegan at a loss for words.
He had never expected Alisha to have such a thought.
The corners of Finnegan’s mouth twitched, and he firmly decided not to discuss the matter further with her. Focus on driving.”
Alisha harrumphed. She stepped harder on the accelerator, seemingly taking Finnegan for it.
Half an hour later, the two of them arrived at Fleur Villa.
The villa was that of an old mansion that had been renovated. Cars couldn’t drive in, so they alighted from the vehicle outside.
As soon as the lightly dressed Alisha stepped out of the car, she shivered slightly. “Why does the wind here feel so cold?”
Finnegan nodded. His gaze went to Fleur Vill’s plaque, and he remarked without responding to her question, “It seems that Mdm. Yeatman has deep feelings for her deceased husband!”
Not only was her place of residence named with the generalization of their names, but her grandson was directly named Jacques.
It was clear that her eventual marriage to Norman was entirely out of gratitude for his help in her.
After leaving Jerome Medical Clinic during the day, Alisha had also learned about it from Theode
Nodding, she said, “Truly, Mr. Dunn is pitiful!”
He truly loved Marisol, didn’t mind that she was a widow, and even avenged her. But in her heart, there’s only room for her late husband.
Finnegan withdrew his gaze. “Let’s go in!”
The guards at the gates were arranged by Tyrone. They all recognized Alisha and did not stop her.
Upon entering Fleur Villa, Alisha felt even colder. The wind didn’t feel like the cool breeze of late summer,

She found herself hugging herself slightly and shifting her b*dy closer to Finnegan. “It’s still around twenty-seven twenty-eight degrees now. Why is it so cold here? Could it be that I’m not dressed warmly enough?”
Finnegan glanced at her sideways and said, “Indeed, you’re dressed a bit scantily. If it rains, and you get drenched, it will be as if you’re not wearing anything at all! So, it’s better to dress a bit more warmly rather than prioritizing allure over warmth all the time.”
“I was just giving you a feast for the eyes.” Alisha took the opportunity to hug Finnegan’s arm. “Besides, I didn’t know it would be this cold here. It used to be quite hot during this season in the past.”
Finnegan instinctively withdrew his hand.
When Alisha’s eyes brimmed with resentment, he said, “The negative energy here is impure, so it’s no wonder you find it different than before.”
As his words fell, a female’s cold rebuke rang out from behind. “Watch your tongue. Stop spreading fallacies here!”
