Chapter 53 She’s Not Afraid to Ask for Anything
After getting into the car, Natalie felt drowsy and weak due to her illness. As they approached the hospital, she began to shiver uncontrollably, even though she had bundled herself up tightly.
These were typical symptoms of a fever.
“Are you cold?” Irwin’s solemn voice floated into her ears.
Natalie could barely keep her eyes open. She looked at the man and said in a stuffy voice, “Y–yeah…”
She was genuinely cold, so much so that she wished she could curl up under a blanket and warm herself.
Her whole b*dy felt as though she had been plunged into icy water.
A warm sensation enveloped her as Irwin covered her with his coat. With this newfound warmth, Natalie
fell into a deep slumber.
At the hospital, Dylan looked nervously at Irwin. “Sir, please allow me to handle this.”
Seeing Irwin exit the car and adjusting his cuff as though he were about to carry Natalie, Dylan’s heart
raced.
But one cold look from Irwin made him stop in his tracks.
Despite that, Dylan couldn’t help but point out, ‘Mrs. Johnson has been in the spotlight recently. It’s better
if…“.
“Are you suggesting that you bringing her in will prevent unnecessary rumors?”
Dylan hesitated for a moment. Indeed, anyone standing next to Natalie, especially a man, could become the target of gossip.
However, nob*dy would dare cross the line if it was Irwin.
Irwin was the ruthless ruler of Verde City, whereas Cedric had always projected a gentle image. People would still attempt to test Cedric’s boundaries. But with Irwin, even the thought of it would be pushing their luck

“If you’re already awake, open your eyes!‘ came Cedric’s cold voice from beside her.
Natalie’s eyes snapped open!
The moment she saw the bright ceiling lights, she shivered with fear. Her gaze darted rapidly around her surroundings. When she realized she was in a hospital room, she breathed a sigh of relief.
Cedric’s icy tone was now tinged with mockery as he asked, “What are you so afraid of?”
Natalie finally shifted her gaze to look at him.
The last thing she remembered was being in her business partner’s car. How had she ended up here with Cedric?
Cedric didn’t miss the confusion in her eyes.
His gaze was filled with scom as he asked coldly, “What, are you disappointed that it’s me here? Who did you expect? Regal Horizons International’s chairman? Or Irwin Frazier?”

‘So his name was Irwin.
“Say something!” Cedric angrily shouted when he noticed Natalie ignoring him.
“What should ! say?” Natalie replied indifferently.
Her thoughts were already chaotic. They hadn’t even sorted things out between him and Isabella.
Why was he questioning her here? What right did he have?!
Cedric’s anger flared as he observed her nonchalant demeanor, distorting his usually gentle and
handsome face.
“Natalie, how can you be so shameless? You’ve already caused a scandal abroad, and you couldn’t wait
to start another one locally? What does Irwin see in you?”

“Well, I don’t know. But I guess he definitely saw something.” Natalie retorted.
She refused to explain and deliberately said things to confuse the facts. She didn’t care about Cedric’s darkening expression.
No one knew the emotions she had just experienced while drifting in and out of consciousness.
When she had smelled the strong scent of disinfectant and felt Cedric’s presence beside her, she had thought…
For a moment, she thought that Cedric had forcefully brought her to the operating theater and had removed her eyes… like he had done in her past life!
But Isabella wasn’t blind!
Tension in the air peaked as both Cedric and Natalie refused to back down.
“You’re something, Natalie! You’re really something! Even under these circumstances, you still dare to fuss about wanting your share in the divorce!” Cedric spat angrily.
“If I’m disappointing to you now, don’t forget that you’re the one who started it first! Why wouldn’t I dare
ask for anything?” Natalie retorted with a sharp tone, further provoking the man.
Ultimately, Cedric couldn’t take it anymore. He left the room, slamming the door behind him.
It was a clear indicator of how furious he was.
Once he was gone, Natalie leaned back on the hospital bed. She closed her eyes and concealed the Heeting pain she felt deep Inside.

for a meal before proceeding to Apex Global Group to rendezvous with Irwin.

further away from the city.”
Karina glanced at Natalie and replied, “We’re going to Elegance Bay.”
“Elegance Bay?!” Natalie repeated in shock..
Natalie naturally knew about Elegance Bay. It was a famous affluent area in Verde City, spanning over 15,000 acres with just three villas. The residents were very mysterious and had intrigued people in Verde City for years.
And now, Karina said they were going to Elegance Bay?!
“Yes, Mr. Jarvis said that staying with Ms. Sanders might disturb her daily life, so you’ll live at Elegance Bay from now on,” Karina explained.
Natalie was left speechless.

That was such a luxurious place! Yet, all her uncle had needed to do was say the word, and he had arranged for her to live there?!
Natalie took a deep breath and replied, “There’s no need, I’ll buy an apartment in the city.”
“You are now a lady of Regal Horizons International, and the chairman is your only blood relative. He wouldn’t have you living elsewhere,” Karina argued.
There was nothing much Natalie could say about that, and she was starting to accept this explanation,

When that project was first launched, Cedric had intended to purchase one of the villas there for their future home.
However, the villas were already sold out when he thought about it!
