Though Yvette was reluctant to admit it, recalling Blanca’s words at this moment made her realize that something had indeed changed.

Blanca looked at her with a smirk. “Could you let go of me now?” 

Observing Yvette’s cold, pale face, Blanca didn’t have the patience to prolong the confrontation. 

In Yvette’s mind, a whirlwind of thoughts raged. Eventually, the grip around Bianca’s wrist gradually loosened. 

“I won’t see you out,” Bianca said coldly. 

Without another word, Blanca turned and left. Her departing figure radiated an aura of decisiveness. 

What was this feeling? 

It felt as if Bianca would never face any harm. Her unyielding departure made those who saw her want to keep her for themselves. 

Indeed! 

Yvette felt this way about Blanca now. 

If a woman felt this way, how much more so a man? 

What about Zane? 

As these thoughts swirled in Yvette’s mind, she felt overwhelmed, like she was caught in a 

storm. 

The pain and suffocation were punbearable. 

How could they do this? 

Conflicting emotions surged within Yvette, seeking an outlet. Yet, she found none. 

This overwhelming sensation made her feel restless. 

Upon reaching Lotus Villa half an hour later, Bianca received a message from Natalie stating

While Zane had arranged for Bianca to stay in the back of Hillside Estate, Natalie lived in the front side! 

What used to seem like coincidental neighbors now seemed… intentional? 

Another half–hour passed, and Bianca arrived at Hillside Manor. 

Natalie sat on the sofa, holding a glass of red wine and cuddling Ginger, her expression indifferent and desolate. 

It was obvious Natalie was fond of her pet pig. 

Bianca approached Natalie and said, “I’ve always found cats and dogs cute. So… Why a pig?” 

Bianca sat down opposite Natalie, and Lydia hurriedly approached her.. 

“Ms. Sanders, would you like something to drink?” 

“Coffee, please. Thank you.” 

“Alright.” 

After Lydia left the room, Natalie spoke up, “Because pigs are simple.” 

Blanca was silent. 

Simple? 

She thought Natalie liked the pig because Cedric gave it to her! 

If that were the reason, Bianca would be flabbergasted. She might even try to knock some 

sense into Natalie’s brain if the latter had said that. 

“How were things in Wexford?” Bianca changed the subject and asked instead. 

She was well aware of Natalie’s reason for visiting Wexford recently. 

As soon as Bianca mentioned Wexford, Natalie lifted her glass of red wine and emptied it in one gulp. 

What was this?! 

She watched Natalie silently, awaiting her response. 

After consuming three glasses in succession, Bianca finally interjected, “Enough, stop 

drinking.” 

“Bia.”

“Can someone truly be a substitute for another?” 

Once, when Natalie had come across such ideas, she dismissed them as nonsense. She had “never believed in the concept of substitutes–it sounded like a mere fabrication. 

Given everyone’s distinctiveness, how could anyone become a substitute? 

But now… she felt enlightened! 

Previously, regardless of how things had deteriorated between her and Cedric, she never doubted the authenticity of their relationship. 

However, this time, she realized that everything could be a facade. 

What she saw might be a lie! What she heard could also be false! 

Even the emotions she sensed in others might be artificial. 

If everything could be a sham, what could be genuine in the world? 

When she heard this, a storm seemed to flash across Bianca’s eyes, but it quickly subsided. 

“Considering how Jade has become so crucial to Malcolm, it’s likely because she has similarities to Faye. So, I believe… the concept of a substitute might indeed be real!”
