When it came to Isabella’s daughter and her own, he chose Isabella’s without hesitation.

“Are you speaking for yourself or for him? Your relationship truly is something else!” Natalie’s biting words cut off Irwin’s attempt to explain.
He was speaking up for Cedric?!
Indeed, in Natalie’s eyes, wasn’t everything Irwin was doing right now merely an attempt to justify Cedric’s actions?

“To go to such lengths for a woman, was it worth it?”

“It was no wonder Blair was intolerable!” Natalie looked at Irwin with a chilling gaze.
A shiver ran down Irwin’s spine.
With an even more menacing tone, Natalie continued, “She… deserved to die!”
“Natalie!” Irwin’s voice deepened instantly.
“She had it coming!” Natalie roared.
The dangerous undertone in Irwin’s voice made Natalie smirk sarcastically. Blair was undoubtedly a unique figure.
Irwin wasn’t certain about the details of the information, but if it held Natalie’s attention for
half an hour, it was significant.
Whatever Natalie needed to know, she probably did by now.
And Blair? What sort of person was she? Over the years, she remained a painful memory in both Irwin’s and Cedric’s worlds.
The shifting emotions in Irwin’s eyes only intensified Natalie’s sense of irony and madness.
But as Irwin prepared to speak, Natalie’s phone vibrated before a word could escape his lips.

Taking several deep breaths, Natalie managed to suppress the storm of emotions welling up inside her. She moved to the side to answer the phone.
“Mom.”
“I finally got through to you.”
“What’s wrong?”
“Cedric’s people came and tried to take Luna. Given the chaos in Wexford right now, your father thinks… he might be trying to threaten you. Be careful.”
Natalie remained silent. The storm that had just been suppressed violently surged again upon hearing Heather’s words about Luna.
They tried to take Luna?!

“I understand.”
“Nat, Cedric isn’t a good person. The fact that he tried to take away Luna is just…”
“Don’t worry. I’m fine!” It was only a few words, yet they were spoken with such urgency that Heather could feel her pain.
Previously, Stephen had wanted to give Cedric a chance.
But now… not even half a chance existed in her world for Cedric.

After exchanging a few more words with Heather, Natalie hung up the phone.
She stood by the French window with Irwin not far behind her. At this moment, all signs of tension had disappeared from him.

“You knew his people were coming for Luna?” Turning to face him, the hatred and anger in
Natalie’s eyes were palpable.
All the patience she had maintained over the years was now completely gone. There was no holding back anymore.
Seeing the hatred in her eyes, Irwin felt suffocated.
Taking a deep breath, he began, “Nat, he…”
