Chapter 120 Getting Bolder 

The next day. Natalie woke up early.

When she came down, Stephen was already at the dining table. Seeing the tired look on her face, he

frowned and asked, “Didn’t sleep well?”

“Yeah.”

Of course, she couldn’t sleep well.

How could she after learning such earth–shattering news all of a sudden?!

Even digesting it would take time.

Stephen placed a glass of milk before her, saying. “This is what your aunt was worried about.”

Speaking of Heather, Natalie felt a wave of gratitude. It’s a good thing she had her uncle, her aunt, her

cousin…

They wouldn’t let her end up like she did in her previous life.

Taking a sip of the milk, she asked Stephen, “How are you getting there later?”

At her words, Stephen checked the time on his wristwatch. “My people will be here shortly. I’ll take you

with me.”

long.

“No need,” she said, worried about running into Cedric again.

Cedric hadn’t quite recovered from their ten–year relationship ending, and Natalie worried he might not

handle it well and vent his frustrations on her again.

If she encountered such a situation, it would just be another headache.

Stephen asked, “Haven’t you already divorced him? Why worry?”

“That’s not it You know the Johnson family’s style. I just got Rebecca so angry she ended up in the hospital. I don’t even know if she’s awake now!”

Stephen stiffened. “What happened?

Stephen had been in Simeria, and he only knew the bits and pieces about Natalie’s entanglement with the

Johnson family from Karina. So, he was mostly still In the dark about everything.

Natalie peeled a boiled egg and explained, “You remember introducing me to Mr. Frazier, right?”

“Yes. What happened after?”

“Irwin took an interest in a project, which the Johnson family was also competing for.”

She didn’t need to tell Stephen the rest of the story. Due to Irwin and Natalie’s collaboration, the Johnson family lost a massive project.

“What? So, she’s been unconscious since then?”

Stephen was shocked.

That incident had put her in a coma?!

“Of course not. But after that, Mr. Frazier introduced me to Premier Garden. They were interested in bidding for the project right next to Dragon Park,” Natalie explained.

“Yeah,” Natalie confirmed.

It seemed that even the heavens were against them, huh?

Stephen typically looked dignified and serious, but now, there was a hint of amusement on his face.

“Interesting!” he said after a moment’s reflection. “So, if Cedric sees me out with you early in the morning,

he’ll come after me?”

Even if they were divorced, he might still be a nuisance.

After all, she had seen what he could dol

Understanding her reluctance, Stephen didn’t insist. When someone was furious, they were capable of

anything.

So, avoiding confrontation was wise.

I won’t take you with me, then. But you can’t drive your Pagani today,” Stephen warned.

“Why?”

“Mr. Foster’s daughter has taken a liking to it. It won’t arrive in time from Simeria, so I’m giving her this one. If you like the car, I can arrange another one for you.”

“No, it’s fine!”

Natalie shook her head. She didn’t care what car she drove. The ostentatious displays from her uncle were giving her a headache. 

However, something more headache–inducing awaited her! 

After Stephen left following lunch, she watched the long convoy depart from Elegance Bay.

But soon after, someone delivered a car to her.

Seeing the dazzling Aston Martin, Natalie felt a chill run down her spine. She quickly called Karina, “Just get me a regular car, please.”

This vehicle was even more extravagant than before!

When Natalie was with Cedric, she thought he led a luxurious and high–profile lifestyle. After seeing her uncle’s way of life, she realized that each one was more extravagant than the other.

She found it difficult to cope.

“I don’t think I’ll be able to do anything about it today. I’m currently discussing Mr. Lawson’s project in

South City. I’ll settle it tomorrow!”

“Why don’t you use it just for today?”

Just for today Natalie asserted and hung up the call.

She could already feel a headache coming on.

After she changed her clothes, she checked the time carefully. It was already past the peak commuting

hours, and she hoped to avoid running into Cedric

However, she didn’t expect that due to Rebecca being unconscious, Cedric also arrived at the office later

than usual today.

The office that Karina had arranged for her happened to be in the adjacent building to Cedric’s.

When Cedric saw Natalie emerging from the new car in the underground parking lot, he felt an overwhelming anger that he couldn’t suppress.

“Changed your car again?” Cedric asked after he returned to his senses and suppressing the emotions on

his face.

“No. This is just temporary, Natalie replied.

Temporary?

Did that mean she had many cars waiting for her to switch, and each one better than the last?

“Heh… He treats you well, huh?” Cedric retorted with a hint of sarcasm.

Natalie’s words at the restaurant entrance yesterday had woken him up from his delusions.

There was nothing between them anymore!

They had divorced, and she was no longer his wife.

Why did they divorce?

Because she ruthlessly harmed those around her. If she continued to stay, who knew how many more

people she would hurt?

Thinking this way, Cedric’s heart lightened a bit. However, it also felt somewhat stifled.

Natalie nodded. “Yeah. He treats me well and cares for me a lot.”

There was a hint of sharpness in the man’s eyes when she said that.

However, there was no eruption as Natalie had anticipated. Since Cedric always wanted to verbally insult her, she might as well provoke him before he could do the same.

However, her words only elicited a cold snort from him before he turned and walked away.

He didn’t make a scene, which surprised Natalie.

When she returned to the office, there was a folder on her desk. Natalie opened it without much thought, thinking it was related to their collaboration,

However, upon seeing the contents, she narrowed her eyes. It was sent by a private investigator and contained everything about Isabella.

Natalie fl*pped through it.

As Stephen had said, Isabella was her half–sister on her father’s side.

And she had come to seek revenge!
