Chapter 24 Marry me
Ace narrowed his eyes. As he fell into deep thought, he seemed to see the
happy times he and Anna had together. He tried to reach out and touch her, but
the images eventually burst like bubbles,
“Lily, I’m a little tired, you can go now.”
“Ace……”
“Go!”
He suddenly glanced over at Lily, calm and serious.
Just one simple word made Lily’s face go completely pale.
The woman opened her lips, but ultimately said nothing. She could only leave reluctantly.
After Lily left, all that remained in the large private hospital room was
coldness.
In a trance, Ace seemed to see the old days when he was sick and Anna was
busy by his side.
The corners of his mouth couldn’t help but curl slightly with bitterness and
self–deprecation.
In his world with his eyes closed, he had Anna.
Ace closed his eyes and was about to fall asleep when something suddenly
occurred to him. His eyelids fluttered and he suddenly opened his eyes!

When she pushed open the door to the hospital room, the room was empty.
She frowned in confusion, had he left the hospital?
She was about to go look for him when the man’s upright body appeared in
front of her.
Ace? Lily looked at the box he held in his arms, confused.
“Open it.” He ordered.
“What?”
“Open the box.”
Lily was confused, but did what the man said.
A nitrogen filled balloon slowly rose into the air. Lily covered her mouth in
surprise as she watched a white balloon gradually rise to the roof.
Then she saw a diamond ring on the end of a string tied to the balloon,
slowly floating out of the box.
Lily looked at the ring and her eyes widened in disbelief and shock.
“Haven’t you always wanted to take care of me?”
Ace watched her, but it was like he was trying to look at another person
through her face.
“Ace?”
Lily’s eyes turned red. She was still incredulous, too moved by Ace’s
behavior to speak.

“Then come home with me.”
After saying that, the man took off the ring and put it on Lily’s ring finger.
The happiness came so suddenly. Lily cried with joy and said nothing. She happily jumped into the man’s arms and hugged him tightly.
Ace’s eyes remained emotionless.
“Ace, I’ve chosen the day for you. Three months from today is a good day for anything. You should get ready because the wedding is coming!
Ace’s stepmother sat on the couch, flipping through the calendar with a
smile on her face.
“What do
you think?”
The man looked to the woman next to him. Lily was happy at this point,
“Ace, you can arrange everything for me.”
“Then let’s do as I say.”
Ace nodded slightly. His expression did not change.
To an outsider, although he was gentle with his fiancée, there was not the
slightest hint of anticipation or joy in his eyes.
Lily was just drowning in joy, so she didn’t have time to care about that.
In the afternoon, Ace went to the office after lunch. Lily stayed behind to
chat with her future mother–in–law and arrange flowers.
