Chapter 15 – Undercurrents
Garren laughed and shrugged, “Isn’t it ridiculous for Mr. Robert to say these
things? Anna was sent to prison by yourself, have you forgotten that? What do
you mean you’re asking me for her now?”
Ace rushes to Garren’s house as soon as he gets off the plane. By now Ace
was getting impatient.
He stared at Garren in horror and said, “Garren, don’t play with me.”
“I don’t understand what you’re talking about.”
The air froze. These two men faced each other, seemingly calm and
rational.
Suddenly, Ace stared at the face in front of him, and all of his submerged
hatred and jealousy erupted at once. Ace threw a heavy punch towards Garren’s
face!
Garren was caught off guard and his upright body fell violently to the side!
“Ace, what the fuck are you doing!”
Garren quickly got to his feet, red–eyed, and quickly wrestled with Ace.
“I told you to give me Anna! Where is she!”
“You’re crazy! Why is she in Canada!”
Ace slammed Garren to the ground, his eyes red, “She’s been out of jail for five months! Garren, that baby in prison is yours! Anna had no choice but to be
with you.”
Shock and surprise quickly flashed in Galen’s eyes as he was stunned in
place.
Anna… Already out of prison?
But she hadn’t told him or come to him.
In hesitation, Ace saw that the man’s reaction was a bit unnatural. Then he
narrowed his eyes, “You really didn’t know about that?”
Garren shuddered and got up from the floor, raising his hand to wipe the
blood from the corner of his mouth, “When did Anna get out of prison? How
would I know?”
Ace’s eyes cooled as he heard this.
“I know that child born in prison is mine! I was not planning to be
irresponsible. I took the baby as soon as she was born. How I raise my child will
be up to me. How could I leave my child to be raised by a woman like that?”
Garren clenched his fists slightly, an obvious mockery and contempt
surfacing on his face, “Ace, you came to my house today to look for Anna. Don’t
think I’ll still take that woman back?”

“Well, Anna is still slutty. She still reminds you of her after all this time. But
seriously, she’s really good in bed. But that kind of woman is not a wife. On that
point, I’m sure Mr. Robert knows better than I do, right?”
In all those years they had been entangled together, Ace had never wanted
to marry Anna.
It had always been all about revenge.
That’s why she’d been spoiled to heaven and descended to hell at his own
hands.

Ace had always thought that Anna was a tool of revenge for him. But since
her return from prison, until her disappearance three months later, not a day
went by that he didn’t think about Anna.
He hated her for tangling with those men. He hated her for having a child
with Galen. And he hated Anna for betraying him…
But when he thought about the reasons she’d become the way she was, his
chest throbbed with pain.
Ace frowned, his fists almost squeezing and creaking.
Garren curled his lips slightly. He’d managed to distract the man, and he’d
accomplished his goal.
