Chapter 27 A Divorce Petition 

“Gianna is going to Silver City!” 

Cole became visibly excited at the news and his eyes lit up. “Since Gianna has returned to the country, shouldn’t the engagement that we discussed before be put on the agenda?” 

Chaim’s tone was indifferent, and he was not as active as Cole when the engagement was mentioned. “It depends on Gianna and Maverick. After all, they are the ones getting married.” Cole completely understood what Chaim meant. 

He knew Maverick’s character very well. 

Cole had a child later in life, so he spoiled Maverick since he was a child. 

Although Maverick hadn’t caused any trouble in his position as the president of Myers Group, he spent his days partying, chasing women, and speeding around. Living a carefree life, he fell far short of the standard expected of a prospective son–in–law by the Lewis family. 

Gianna, the only daughter of the Lewis family, was showered with immense love and affection. The Lewis family cherished her so much that they were naturally reluctant to entrust her to such a prodigal as Maverick. 

Cole had met Gianna before. With a rosy complexion, she was good–tempered and good–looking. She was the perfect candidate for a daughter–in–law. 

It seemed… It seemed he should send Maverick to Silver City and remind him to seize the 

opportunity. As a father, Cole should help him. 

Thinking of talking to Maverick about it, Cole got up at once to say good–bye. Chaim rose to see him off. 

Chaim went back to the living room. 

And Gianna came out of the study. 

“Chaim, are you going to send me to Silver City to take the lead?” 

Chaim showed a serious expression. “Yes. You are familiar with Silver City, and you’re the best person for strategic deployment there. It is up to you whether to stay at the headquarters or go to the subsidiary in Silver City.” 

Gianna’s eyes shone with confidence, and she said firmly, “Chaim, I’m going to the subsidiary in Silver City.” 

Chaim reminded Gianna, “If you choose to go to Silver City, you must prioritize the interests of Empyrean Group and should not be affected by romance.” 

Levi suffered a lot in Dubai this time, and after returning to Silver City, he would definitely not show mercy to the subsidiary of Empyrean Group. Therefore, competition between the two companies in the future could not be avoided. 

If Gianna refused, Chaim would also respect her decision. 

Gianna understood what Chaim was worried about and knew that she was responsible for the future of the subsidiary. 

“Chaim, don’t worry. I agreed to go to Silver City for my development at Empyrean Group. Everyone in the group resented the fact that I was parachuted in as a general a*sistant. I should first work hard and make some achievements in the subsidiary before going to the headquarters.” 

Chaim nodded in satisfaction. “Since you can see through this, I don’t have anything to worry 

about.” 

Gianna pretended to be distressed. “It’s just…” 

“What’s wrong?” 

“I won’t be able to see you often!” Gianna smiled brilliantly. 

Chaim, who was still angry because of Levi, suddenly felt relieved. With a smile, he went over to pat Gianna on the head. “How sweet! I will often fly over to see you.” 

“Chaim, you should keep your word.” 

“I will.” 

In the Rivera Manor in Silver City. 

As soon as Levi entered the manor, he tore off his tie irritably and went upstairs to his room alone without saying a word. 

Seeing his gloomy face, Alaia and Naomi didn’t dare to say a word while following behind, nor did 

Sienna. 

In the room, Levi took off his suit jacket, poured a gla*s of wine, and stood in front of the floor–to–ceiling windows. 

Without the concession of Empyrean Group, he spent one billion dollars more than the original budget buying the exhibition qualification from elsewhere. 

This time, he was completely deflated in Dubai. 

Thinking of the trouble Gianna caused for him, Levi couldn’t vent his anger.

“What did she say?” Levi was obviously angry. 

“Mrs. Rivera said that everything about the divorce would be handled by the lawyer in the future and that you should wait for the prosecution since you were going to delay.” After finishing this sentence, Jason stopped talking, quietly waiting for Levi’s rage. 

Immediately afterward, Jason heard the sound of gla*s shattering. Even though he was on the other end of the phone, he couldn’t help breaking out a cold sweat on his back. 

He thought Gianna really annoyed Levi this time!
